Awesome Value

My Genesis Sedan 3.8 is a great car. I currently have 116k miles with minimal issues. It has it's quirks, but they are livable. First car I have owned with over 100k miles and it didn't have a leak whatsoever. I see no problem expecting another 100k.

GOOD SERVICE GENERATES A GOOD RETURN

I RECEIVED A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION. DURING INSPECTION IT WAS NOTICE THAT THE ENGINE FILTER NEEDED REPLACING BECAUSE WAS IT VERY DIRTY. THE SOILED FILTER WAS REPLACED WITH EXPLANATION OF THE SERVICES ALL SERVICES PROVIDED.THE COURTESY WASH WAS APPRECIATED .

Best Car and Value

I've owned my 2009 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 4.6 for a little over 6 years and have put more than 230K miles from border to border. This car has been a solid, reliable workhorse that has maintained its head turning good looks and power that will make it hard to turn away and buy another brand when it comes time to part ways. When I purchased it I turned away a Lexus LS and an Infinity G series. I was definitely enticed by the amenities for the price. The driver comfort level, rear seat space and snappy engine makes this an overall winner. This model was one of the first year versions. So, there have been some quirks. These include faulty seat/steering wheel adjustment motors as well as having to replace the break light switch and emission system valve solenoid a couple of times. All other issues have truly been wear and tear. I believe this car will take me another 100K without a problem. It still rides as comfortably with the same power it had when I first purchased it.

I like the look and handling of this car. It has held up well for the first 180k miles. Now it is getting expensive to maintain, but once I put a few K into it, I expect to drive it at least another 50k miles!

78000 mile checkin.

My 4.6 Genny continues to hum like a kitten. The v8 is fun to drive. The suspension could be tighter as well as the steering but it’s still fun especially with performance tires. A couple of intermittent rattles are annoying but overall I continue to like the car. FYI - I have always used Top Tier Premium Gasoline and full synthetic oil. Rear brakes are still original.

I love my Genesis

My 2009 Genesis is my all time favorite auto purchase. I especially like it’s classic understated luxury style, it’s many accessories. It’s audio system is totally awesome. On the road it rides like a dream. I can only imagine what the new Genesis is like but mine is still noteworthy.

Genesis

This car is a thoroughbred. It has provided excellent service without any major service. It runs well, has great performance and still looks good after 175,000 miles. On the freeway at a steady 70 mph, one can still get 30 miles to the gallon and that is with a v6. Incredible. .

Very satisfied with vehicle. Repairs are sometimes costly for simple things, i.e., interior back light bulb, back door lock, and other little things. Vehicle offers a great ride. It looks good. Gas mileage is great city and highway. Styling is better than current genesis..

2009 Genesis

I inherited this car from my mom with 45K. It has been a strong car mostly except I had a major challenge with an electrical problem. It took a special mechanic to repair the issue. I spent $3K before finally getting the problem fixed for $125. That is why I only gave 4 stars. Also, I have had issues with the opening/closing of the moon roof three times. It is fast and powerful.

I average about 5,000 to 6,000 miles a year of driving. This Genesis is my first car purchased that was not American made. I am well satisfied with my choice I would definitely consider purchasing another Genesis providing I can get my present poor, poor quality of wheel finishes resolved.

Very good automobile

I've had my Genesis for almost 10 years. My wife loves it and so do I. It is a very comfortable riding car and very fast.Has all the bells and wistles one could want...I plan to buy a new one very soon just not here..

Almost perfect

The car has everythning you'd expect in a luxury car, including lots of power when needed. I had a big issue with the brakes which occurred after the 100K warranty expired, but Hyundai fixed them as if the warranty was still in effect. Only complaint with the car is the suspension - amazingly stiff. You feel EVERY bump so I drive to avoid even the smallest ripple in the pavement.

Love my Genesis

See above comments concerning electronics. Our Genesis 4.6l V8 is the most fun to drive with superior comfort, superior performance, great economy ( have had 32 miles per gallon on long trips averaging 80 miles per hour plus) and no mechanical failures in the ten years we have had the car. Please see the above comments on electronic components that have been the only inconvenience we have experienced.

I love my car but a lot of cosmetic issue after two years. The door handles alarms were the first to go. Way too much to fix. Car still runs well but paint chipped and really bad after a few years

Its has too many glitches Radio freezes, which means I cant turn it off, turn it up or down, the CD player is some timing ?. .you're supposed to be able to just push the button on the door handle to unlock the door..doesnt work all the time either

rear camera has been terrible, having my third one put in

Auto companies should have recipication between other mechanical sources. I am over 70 miles from my present home. at purchase time I had two dealers within 10 miles. They are making me pay 1/2 the cost of this the third camera because I am not going to dealership.

Even though my 2009 Genesis is ten years old I still receive compliments on how nice it looks. The problem it gives me is how poorly it handles on the highway during the winter months. I have winter tires put on and sandbags in the trunk. Last Saturday, during a light snowfall, I had to turn around and go back home because it handled so poorly on the highway. When asked about my car I always tell people I love the car, but I caution them on how it performs on the road during winter driving.
