2011 Genesis 3.8 L

The 2011 model falls short of my expectations. I liked the car initially when I test drove it and bought it. Later I find out that the sounds system is of poor quality. Even when adjusting the EQ controls. The suspension on this 2011 model is so tight that you can feel EVERY little bump and pebble in the road. Sure, it takes the corners well, but all at the sacrifice of a smooth ride. I hear the 2015 model has the ability to switch from tight suspension to smooth ride. Wish this model had that feature. The seats are not very comfortable for a long road trip. The padding is on the firm side and I prefer a little plush/softness. The lumbar support is not positioned in the right spot and the curve is too pronounced. Even when adjusting it so that the curve is at it's lowest rise, it still gives me that feeling that someone is poking me in the back. Love the extra space inside the cabin. Plenty of room and easy to get in and out of the car. Lots of head room and trunk space. Would buy another one now that I've test driven the 2015 model. Because that year's model has all the comforts and features I prefer. And the 3.8L even has a sunroof now!

Wow

The Hyundai badge is misleading for this vehicle. The 4.6 V8 has monster power and has never left me underwhelmed. The interior is impressive from its rich leather, chilled and heated seats, quiet cabin, GPS, 6 disc DVD changer, 14 speaker system, as well as every bell and whistle you cam imagine. I only wish it had an AWD option as I live in an area where weather can cause problems with RWD vehicles.

Genesis a real value

We have been very happy with our Genesis. It has all the performance and special amenities of a high price import without the high price. I particularly like the fact that it operates on standard grade fuel. I will but another when the time comes.

This car was all that I had hoped for--and more-- in a car. I get more positive comments from strangers about this car than for any other car I have ever owned (and I have owned a lot of cars). It has been a truly fine car.

Love the Genesis

Purchased a 2011 Genesis 3 months ago. Have owned Mercedes, Cadillac and Jaguar. This car compares to all of these! We love the luxurious appointments, the leather and the wood trim. The comfort of the seats is superb. Our Genesis has the 4.0 V8, which is the way to go with this car! Love the response in city traffic as well as on the open road.

Korean Mercedes

I had heard this vehicle described as a Korean "Mercedes" and they were right. It took some getting used to (I have been a Buick driver for many years), but I adjusted to the lightly stiffer ride, quicker handling, quicker braking, and better acceleration. First auto with adaptive cruise control - I like it, although it took a while to adjust to it.

Very Good Car

It's a dream to drive it, most people stare, when I come to a stop at the light. It's faster than most cars. Other nice cars do not line up side b side with me at the light, they fall back and stare at my car. That tells the story, of the Genesis.
