More horse power @ higher maintenance cost

I brought the car in for $15 K service, and ended up with $800 price tag. The dealership explained that it was due to cleaning & replacing fuel injection-related system. It was rather incomprehensible that my Genesis needed change of fuel-infection system at only 15 K miles. They explained that it's because Hyundai builds the fuel-injector inside the engine so the engine would get more horse power. And with it also comes the tendency of easier carbon build-up on the fuel-injector. Now Hyundai may have achieved more horse power with the way they design the engine, but if it comes with more unexpected out-of-pocket maintenance cost to the owners, what good is the additional horse power?

Very enjoyable vehicle to drive and ride in.

Only complaint is that the trunk space is limited vertically behind the back seat resulting in having to lay suitcase flat taking up more space required to store luggage.It needs to be about 6 inches deeper next to the back seat. Otherwise it is an outstanding vehicle to drive and ride in.

I have had three genesis vehicles. I’ve never had an issue with any of them. Other than general maintenance and tires these cars have been completely reliable. My only complaint is the resale value is low

Great car

Great amenities, both front and rear. Similar to my Mercedes E Class. Ride us a little stiff. Enjoy LWS and adaptive cruise contol. Large interior welcomes 4 large adults. Heat and vented seats are great. All else very good.

Love the car but have had a few glitches

I have had two radios replaced now and I just took the car in for a seat issue. Otherwise, the car is almost 4 years old (less than 19,000 miles) and runs great. I'm actually thinking about upgrading to a new G90.

Love it, but ...

Good car. Being retired, I don't drive much, but when I do, I am impressed by its ease of handling and ample power. I don't have the top of the line technology features, but I love what I have, especially the rear view camera. At my age, I can't do without it. My one major disappointment is that, for my 2014 model, the passenger seat lacks up-and-down control. (How could you do that to me Hyundai!!!???). Otherwise, I am very happy with its quality and performance.

2014 Genesis Almost the Perfect Car.

I had always admired the Genesis from when it was first introduced and hoped one day to be able to purchase one. I specifically selected the 2014 model, as I prefer the original body style, and this was the last year for this model. I love the way it looks and the way it performs, and my wife and I feel safe driving this car in Houston traffic.

what does this mean? Model is Genesis

Meets basic needs and performance criteria. Short falls are MPG (as advertised but not competitive and belwo desired level, blue tooth phone voice recognition poor, navigationsystem more complicated than need be, and SEAT INTEGRITY POOR.

Needs refined.

Transmission shift on the 5.0 is not smooth. Under 25 mph the vehicle is jerky. Remote services is $100 a year. 3 different services offered at 100 each a year. Worthless! You can remote start, but you can't remote stop. No climate control in remote app. Seats do not wrap around like in other sports car, not that comfortable. There is a serious lag/ delay in the throttle. If you need to accel quickly to avoid accident you'll have to wait a second. Traction control/ ECS does not turn off. Cannot unlock car doors from trunk, doors and trunk can only be opened by remote/key fob. Very insulated car from noise. Stereo controls hard to operate/understand. Stereo sound awesome. Drivers seat is cooled only. All seats are heated. They should all be cooled too. 4 drink holders total. Only 2 spots in car to charge phone. Cannot put anything long in trunk because back seat does not fold down. No performance parts since hyundai makes engine very short time.

Too much hassle

The car is fun to drive and it's comfortable and quiet. I liked it when I bought it and I wish I could still say the same thing. I have had two radio's replaced, the back up camera went out and now the driver's seat stopped working. May seem like little things, but the car only has 18,000+/- miles on it and it's getting old when I have to keep taking it in to get things fixed that always seem to require a part that has to be ordered and I don't have my car for a week at a time. The dealership is good about getting you back to work or finding a car for you to drive but it's still a huge inconvenience each time.

2014 R-Spec

The vehicle performs great except for the clear coat is peeling on the front bumper with a little over 56k miles on it. The paint on the rest of the vehicle is great and there is no problem with the clear coat on the rear bumper.. The vehicle is not 5 years old yet need some answers on this problem.

Perfect except the one deal breaker.

This car exceeded my expectations in ever way except for how loud it is on any road surface other than smooth asphalt. It is spacious, luxurious, and drives very well. Brakes are not smooth from 40 mph to stop.
