2015 Hyundai Genesis HTrac 3.8

It's a nice place to sit and the technology is wonderful. Car is very loaded with convenient options. I have liked owning this car. Two problems, the paint is razor thin, I have had very small chips and scrapes that easily penetrated down to the bare metal...paint seems brittle, and the car eats tires like Homer Simpson left alone in a Dunkin' Donuts.

Daylight Running Light Bulb Issue on 2015 Genesis 5.0

I love this car with one exception. There is a known issue with burning out the front turn signal light bulbs, which also function as the Daylight Running Lights. This has been well publicized in the Genesis forums. Hyundai needs to initiate a recall to correct this problem. In the last 6 months,I have replace 4 bulbs.

Love the car hate the service

Love the Genesis 5.0. When I first bought it I was surprised by how many people would say nice car, who makes it. It is in its own class surrounded by a sea full of overpriced nameplates like Audi, BMW and Mercedes that cost 10's of thousands more. It looks good and is fun to drive. Faster than my 1967 GTO.

Love the car inspite of it's problems... well maybe

Had to have the front wheel drive replaced right after I first got the car (under warranty). The steering sticks when going around a corner and the dealer can't figure out what is wrong. A bit of a safety hazard. The interior shade on the sunroof does not close all the way and the dealer can't figure out how to fix it.

Its ok

They do not stock any parts so 1 repair takes 2 days and several trips to the dealership. Its a major inconvenience. They give me a ride home vut i had to wait an hour. Then i had to wait to get picked up. Then i felt obligated to tip the driver. Both times my car neede repaired it required interior work and they scratched up my dashboard. Its black so its very visible. There is also a class action lawsuit on the panoramic sun roof so if the car ever rolls over the roof will shatter and possibly cause major injury. I really thought i was buying a great car but now i dont feel that way. I just wander what will break next.

Love the car hate the transmission

Great car terrible transmission replaced 3 times in less than 100,000 miles..with 108,00 miles i expect i will need a new transmission shortly . No Warrenent now expect this time to be expensive something i can’t afford. Bought this car to run to 200K. Doesn’t look like i’m Going to come close. Really disappointing, vey little help from Hyundai just a lot of lip service

Genesis

Drives well but controls / system electronics are finicky and unreliable. Good styling. Low mpg. Does not hold tight turns expected in a sports luxury car. Hyundai Genesis should extend bumper to bumper warranty to certified pre-owned cars as well.

The Car is nice in a lot of ways, but it has a few issues considering the price....

The car vibrates at times when in park or when in drive while the brakes are being applied, the tires are good, but not great, not sure if it was Auto Nation in Buford, GA or the Hyundai Manufacturing Plants fault, but the Vehicle always seems to have minor interior or exterior issues that need to be resolved with the Vehicle.... But overall, it's really not a bad Vehicle as a whole.

Daytime running lights/blinker

I would love to provide a 5 star rating for my 2015 Genesis. However, the persistent problem with frequent burned out lights prevents it. This is a safety issue and definitely on which carries an expense. It is ridiculous that Hyundai has not provided an effective resolution to this problem. The blogs have numerous entries by owners of the 2015 Genesis with this very frustrating problem.

Shoddy Body Hardware

The Genesis is pleasant to drive. The infotainment system is easy to navigate. The major downside to me is that after four years of ownership, the exterior hardware is deteriorating, The door handles are peeling, the emblems have begun peeling, the plastic door frames have all faded. Something that should not have occurred on a car of this class.

2015 Genesis Sedan

I love my Genesis. She rides and handles well. Love the windshield hologram. Only complaint is she does not handle well on snow or ice. When I bought the car, I was told she would be a great winter car. I'm from the north and an experienced winter driver. She is not a good winter car. My only complaint.

Parts are made too cheap for this luxury line

I will not buy another Genesis due to parts are made so cheap and several parts fails miserably within 100k miles. I have owed several luxury lines of cars Mercedes and Lexus neither made cheaply just from normal wear. They were well over 300k before parts started breaking down interior and exterior.

I like my genesis…but

I love my car. Only complaint: tires. I am the second owner. Originally came with Hankooks but Hyundai replaced with Michelin’s. Less than 20k total miles (10k are mine). Had to replace all 4 @ $800! Totally unacceptable.

2015 Genesis

I Love My Genesis! I'm giving this a 3 star rating because my car IS NOT recognized by Genesis! It has the name Genesis but because it's a 2015 model it falls under Hyundai. There are features I would like to implement; however, Genesis tells me I must go through Hyundai and Hyundai tells me I must go through Genesis. I've never experienced all the Bells and Whistles my vehicle has to offer.

Would have liked the interior DIMENSIONS to be larger. Also entering and exiting from the front seats was difficult. Me previous car was an Avalon and was much larger and easier to enter.

2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Signature

Not a perfect car but very much improved over the 2009 Genesis I previously owned. Could have used one more 12v plug and feel that for the money, fog lamps would have been included. Suspension and sound proofing is much better.

Fun ride

The car itself is great. We've had a couple of issues with the bluetooth and some sensors but nothing major. We love the ride, performance and most everything about it. Our dealer needs to step it up but that's not a reflection on the car itself.
