Not as good as my 2007
Overall the auto is acceptable. But there are short falls of the top of the line model
1 - non power exterior mirrors
2 - radio. My 2007 santa fe infinity radio was much easier and less attetion demanding to select am/fm/xm radio stations. The soft ware setup is worse than my Mercedes. Having to touch the screen to scroll through saved stations is absolutely asinine! And dangerous!
3 - Apple-play, complicated to access and control apps. The info on my phone is different than the display. How do you find messages?
4 - the 2.0T is terribly under powered. Particularly annoying is the turbo lag. My 2007 santa fe awd limited ultra had as good acceleration and better gas mileage.
5 - the turning radius is far more than my 2007! One of the things I loved about the 2007 was it’s nimbleness. Having put 220k miles on it, I loved it.
6 - the door side pockets are narrower and less useful. And the rear compartment is also narrower.
7 - exterior temperature should be displayed on the temperature control panel, not on the lower corner of the speedometer display.
8 - what prompted you to make the techometer almost an afterthought? It is useless.
9 - i see the 2021 has eliminated the shifter and added steering wheel shit padfles, are you people brain dead? Since when did the Europeans have any common sense?
Stop following convention. You have had great products. Forge your own way, like Toyota and Honda. Stop trying to be a little bit of every other auto company. Be proud of your own path.
How could you screw up such a great vehicle? That caused me to lease this lesser car. Did I tell you the seats are less comfortable and cheaper in quality?
Luckily I leased this one and will change to something else in three years, unless you up your game. You seem to have lost your way,
And, why have you not brought a diesel engine option into your North American product as is available in Australia and Europe? I love my diesel MB ML350!
