Santa Fe 2024

interior is good and comfortable. I have found that the driving is sluggish, and even though this is an SUV, I would not recommend driving it on gravel or loose dirt roads — I did and got stuck while going up a friend's driveway. The infotainment has a lot of updates, which is great, but they don't always go through, and then we get constant messages saying they didn't work. When I brought it in to be looked at, the dealer did not know how to fix it and stated I needed to call Hyundai. I have also found that the two dealers that I have dealt with are not strong on customer service, and when there is an issue with the car (several recalls), something always comes up where I have to pay out of pocket. When I mention this they common answer is that I should call Hyundai, because they do not make the decisions Hyundai does. I leased this car and would not lease another one — as I said, I thought all services were included, and it turns out they are not. I do like the interior of the car, and that is why I gave it 3 stars.

Great Car - Have only one compliant

Really love the '24 Santa Fe. Only issues I have are the vehicle easily rolls when taking foot from brake to gas on an incline. It's rather concerning at times.

I've had a few issues...

We've had the car for 18 months and have approximately 18,500 total miles. About 8 months ago the car wouldn't start when we were at a restaurant. We had the car towed to the dealer (Hyundai North Scottsdale) and there was some electronic module that needed to be replaced. It took a few days but I thought it was kinda strange that in less than a year, we'd have a problem. Now, a few days ago, the car wouldn't start and we had it towed again to the dealer and we were advised it needs a new transmission. I've had dozens of cars in my life and NEVER had some many problems with such a new vehicle. We do love the Santa Fe but, based on these recent experiences (and we also have a 2022 Tucson), I'm not sure if I'd buy a Hyundai product again.

Great all around. Many cameras can be sensitive to any small Tree overgrowth along a driveway or unmaintained private road entrance.

Third Santa Fe

We have had a Santa Fe since 2007 and have been blessed to have no major issues with the 3 that we have had. Although, the new one, a 2024 Calligraphy, has had a few recalls which has to make you wonder what’s going on with parts or labor. Also, the 2025 does not have the V6 our previous model had. The 4 cylinder with a turbo has done well so far but we are only 11,000 miles in

Vehicle issues

The tires that were sold on the vehicle were very prone to going flat, not a very good tire. The seat belts in the back seat stopped working not sure how it happened. But they will not go back in.

I love my car. The one thing I dislike if pulling out an exit on the highway or similar situations it seems the car hesitate. I currently do have to call as my check driver's assistance pops up frequently.

Overall, I would give this vehicle a 7 1/2 out of 10. Fantastic styling, amazing tech and comfortable ride, but the lack of power, transmission lag, and terrible gas mileage have been disappointing. Should’ve gone with the hybrid model.
