A Dangerously Poor Investment

The only thing I like about the new Santa Fe is how it looks. I have the limited and the earthy brass color, the fun body style and the sunroof are cool looking, but the functionality of the vehicle is rock bottom. The slow and jerky transmission and defective safety features make this a dangerous car to drive. Couple that with glitchy door locks, a smart key that isn't functional, a Bose stereo package that is less than special and a tail gate that has a mind of its own, this vehicle is a waste of money that's dangerous to drive. I would recommend this vehicle to absolutely no one and I dread the day when it comes time to resell it, because I'll surely end up upside down. It looks cool, but don't fall for it.

Stay away

We are now in day 32 of Santa Fe ownership with 17 of those days in service and no end in sight as we await parts for a third attempt at resolution for a gauge/instrument panel outage. I cannot recommend a vehicle I have not been able to enjoy or utilize.

Garbage

So many issues with this vehicle from sensor issues to display issues to driving issues. Runs very loud, alerts go off even when you turn them off in settings, gas tank is very small so requires frequent fill ups. Just about everything about this car is total garbage. Many connection issues with CarPlay and Bluetooth and computer glitches constantly. Don’t buy this car!!

A Garbage Vehicle from a Company that Doesn't Care

I would not recommend this car to my worst enemy. The consistent problems with its Forward Attention Warning system means cruise control doesn't work most of the time. And worse than this...the Hyundai team doesn't really care. You bought the car, so it's your problem now -that's the sentiment I get when speaking with my local Hyundai dealership. And even with a Case Manager assigned by Hyundai corporate, I've been in limbo for weeks. I just want someone to look at and at least make an effort to fix this defect, but Hyundai clearly doesn't care. I've always bought Hyundai in the past, but it pains me to say that this will be the last one I ever buy. Hyundai, maybe if you took time to try and fix your problems rather than ignoring them, you'd keep loyal customers. But as is, it's clearly you don't care.

Don’t waste your time

I bought a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe and it has been in the shop with recalls and now a transmission that has to be replaced, vehicle has less than 5000 miles on it. Had I known this vehicle was going to be problematic I would have kept my 2022 Dodge Ram 1500

Great car till transmission went at 1709 miles 32 days no answers

Great until 1709 miles and transmission went, bought All Star Ford Hyundia Amarillo returned car 34 days with cratered transmission, told would let us no what Hyundia would do, still haven’t heard after 32 days ask for buy back said he would call us week later never did , dealer offered to let us trade it in if we would give them an additional 15000,00 I said I wasn’t crazy , still nothing. Very unhappy with all involved.

Transmission crashed at 2291 miles

At the time of purchase was very excited and pleased with the SantaFe XRT. Traded a 2023 SantaFe Calligraphy for the 2024. 6 weeks in and at 2291 miles the transmission went. Been waiting 6 weeks now for it to be replaced. It’s been in the shop the same length of time I got to drive it.

transmission failed

I loved my brand new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe so it hurts me to give it 1 star. The car is beautiful, the third row seating is awesome, and the technology is great but the transmissions are all failing. Because they are all failing, they are on back order and mine took 30 days to come. My payments are high and I still had to pay that month. I am trying to recoup some money from Hyundai, I have a case number but they are not making it easy. I ended up taking a loss and trading it in to upgrade to a Calligraphy Hybrid which does not have the transmission issues for 200$ more a month. The Hybrid is a 5 star car, I wish I had gotten it in the first place. If you buy a Santa Fe please get the Hybrid or wait until they address the transmission problems. It is an awesome car and the third row is great.

Do not buy!!!!!

60 days after buying this car the transmission has to be replaced. Could take up to 3 months. Dealer has done nothing to help make up for this. Put me in a small santa Cruz. Had to cancel a roadtrip be cause the santa Cruz is too small for our family. They told me to rent a car and I'll be reimbursed up to $40/day! Never will buy a hyundai again and this is coming from a woman who has driven a hyundai for the past 15 years, this was my 3rd car. Wish I bought the telluride!

Cracked transmission then a tire blowout on the side wall , bent and cracked rim. All before our 1st car payment . Experienced in a very dangerous on the free way on the freeway with children in the car

Only 2000 miles and broke trasmission. Never again. Was a nice and good looking car. Small luggage box. Seats are umconfortable.but the color and designs are nice. But I never bought again a car like this.

In shop 2 months after buying

I was so excited to get this car, I had been eyeing this car for months, while we saved up for the payment. Exactly two months after buying it, the car would not go into park. Luckily I was right by the dealership, took it in and haven't seen my car since August. The transmission is back ordered, so no idea when I will get my car back, I am a mom and need a car that is my own. I can't find any information regarding a buyback... Very disappointed.

Awful

So excited to get my new car for it to be in the shop now 3 weeks. Called Relaible Hyundai in Springfield mo to get update and they will not return calls. Went up on a sat and no one there who could talk to me. Poor ran dealership. I just want my car fixed or make the deal right. Making payments on car sitting.

Loaded Lemon

Transmission needed replacement after 1800 mile and 36 days of driving. Services was terrible, no follow up at all levels had to spend a lot of time calling dealer with no solid answers. Car broke down 3 hours from home while on vacation. Had it towed to a local dealer that had no technicians. Had to wait over two months to have the vehicle transmission repair. They didn’t even call me when the vehicle was repaired. Very disappointed all around would not recommend purchasing. Called the dealerships GM and he told me that he had two of the Sante Fe in service with the same transmission problem. Never ever in my 50 years of driving heard of a car with 1800 miles needing a transmission replacement. Loaded Lemon.

Multiple electrical, navigation, and camera malfunctions. Transmission recall at 800 miles. Overall oor quality. First and LAST Hyundai. I should have stuck with Toyota. Owned Toyotas for 30 years. Buying a Hyundai was a big mistake

Lemon- Buyer Beware

This car had everything we wanted and was in our price range. Well, it's a lemon and we've had a terrible experience overall. We only had it for a month before it needed a new transmission, which is on backorder. We've been without the car longer than with it- BUYER BEWARE!

This car has been a nightmare The trans broke at 1k miles then after I get it back after 1.5 months it’s back in for an improper repair, then I get it back and every warning light is on nothing works ABS not working

This is my 6th Hyundai in my family. The vehicle had a slow to start, lagging transmission, which equates to slow initial acceleration. I have an unresolved problem with Bluelink. Hyundai dealership-service points back to Bluelink. Blulink points to dealer. Bottom line. As the customer the system stopped working about 4 weeks after my purchase. That was now 9 weeks ago. Still unresolved and neither the dealership nor Hyundai not BlueLink have resolved or followed up. I've spent about 10 hours and Bluelink does not work in the vehicle or the app. It did originally but stopped all of a sudden. Blue link can see its not working and can even tell me the date. No one is taking care of this problem simply pointing at another group that's says they can't find a provlem... accept Bluelink isn't working. Last Hyundai I'll buy or recommend.

Problems with BlueLink, Hyundai, and dealership make it so I will not buy another Hyundai or from the dealership I purchased, or a vehicle that partners with Bluelink.after 10 wasted hours, 3 tripes to the dealership, and 6-10 calls with Bluelink... the system does not work and no one is trying to fix the problem. Worse service I've ever experienced.
