Review

I really like my car; it does have a couple of quirks though. Weird bird sounds sometimes out of driver side speaker, mostly on cold days. The low-profile tires do not work well on Indianapolis roads. I have had all tires replaced due to potholes in the first year of having this car. The brake pedal makes noise when pressing. Buffeting when the windows are down.

I love my Santa Fe

Nice vehicle. Have had a few "issues". One, dead battery had to have vehicle towed and issue could not be replicated. Several recalls, shouldn't be happening. Dealership was very courteous at first now just meh! Last time I was at the dealership for oil change and recall issue, my appointment was bumped, service rider was very indifferent and rude and rescheduled for a different date.

decent car - gas mileage disappointing

I picked the car for the styling, features, and reputation. I have been satisfied - for the most part - in the ride and performance. Not happy with the complexity of trying to figure out how to set and tune the settings, which requires a "Class" or a month reading the manual to figure out. I bought the Calligraphy because it was the only model that had adjustable seats all around. I got the 2.4 non hybrid because the "testing" magazines and internet complained that the Hybrids did not come anywhere close to the quoted EPA on the sticker and the 1.6 engine ride is not pleasant to drive (choppy and weak) and I did not want have to deal worth paying $12k to replace the batteries at 100k miles. The ride on the highway requires two hands on the wheel at all times, maybe because of the tech that forces you to stay in the middle of the lane. I probably need to read the the manual to fix this. It does tends to drift on the highway. I have put 8k miles on the car

Already having problems

Started vehicle up yesterday and the engine was misfiring at 15 k restarted the car check engine went away and no more misfire. Last Hyundai palisade 23 engine blew within 30k miles now having problems within 15k miles with this car. It can’t be that hard to make a reliable vehicle right? I shoulda learned the first time when I bought an Elantra in 18 and it broke down on the way home from the dealer. Your cars are pieces of junk.

Do not like this vehicle

I was completely turned off when they told me I needed tires at 8000 miles. I was told if I purchased extra coverage for them it would be covered. That’s insane !!!!

Santa fe

Steering seems out of whack catches every groove in road have to use two hands all the time. When you put in park it rolls back a little scary.

Lemon!!!!!

Bought a new Santa Fe Calligraphy. Had it about a month, only 1,100 miles. A message kept displaying check transmission oil immediately and get serviced. Took it twice they said oh no it's fine! My granddaughter and I were crossing over a highway and it didn't want to go. I had to floor the pedal or we would have been hit! Took it back a 3rd time and left it. Finally they said it was transmission. It needs to be replaced. The part is on back order!!!!! It's already been at the shop going on 2 weeks!!!! Shame on Hyundai!! Never again! I also put $30,000 down with zero % interest. Maybe that's why they gave me the crappy one off the lot!!!

Sold on Hyundai

The Car itself is a fun marvel to drive. My only 2 issues are not major but what I find could be improved. The shape of the remote key is awkward and could be improved. Secondly, the liftgate requires standing far back as it is quite long .
