Nice size and space with 50 mpg.

This is a great car - great tech, 50 mpg, comfortable, good space and the best warranty. After seeing and driving my new '23 Sonata, my son in law bought the exact same model to replace his old car.

1st Hyundai; no regrets

We are wonderfully pleased with our 2023 Hyundai Sonata hybrid. Current odometer is 34K miles and averaging 49 MPG since purchase- pretty darn good.

Excellent vehicle, extremely efficient

I purchased this used in March 2025, and mine is a '23 Hybrid SEL. I love everything about this vehicle. It's got great features, accelerates well, has pretty good sensors for lane warnings/cruise warning and other cool stuff. However, I have already had one OEM headlight significantly leak water into the assembly which required a warranty repair. I've also had two pieces of aluminum body trim/moulding peel off of the vehicle, and only ONCE did Hyundai decide to cover it in warranty, even though I'm not even to 11K on the odometer yet. It just seems like a few pieces on the body aren't made and adhered well. Frustrating that Hyundai won't stand by the warranty on both pieces that independently peeled off. The final thing I'm a little frustrated with is that every now and then, maybe 2x weekly, I will turn off my car and go inside for the night. Or, I may go to work and leave the car (obviously) off while I'm there. It seems that after sitting for some time (it's random and I can't seem to pin down what triggers this), the fuel economy completely resets itself to zero, and the A/C shuts itself completely off. In both cases, I'm starting my Fuel Economy back at zero (and I watch this like a hawk bc I want to get the most out of my hybrid), and I may be driving in summer before I realize the A/C is off because I'm focusing on the fuel economy. At any rate, this is more of an annoyance and apparently Hyundai is aware of the issue but has no plans to address the computer glitching that causes this. All in all, I'd give this car a 4.7/5.

Comfortable and Worry Free

Very satisfied with our Sonata Hybrid. It gets great gas mileage even in town. It is a comfortable ride. I expect to keep this car a long, long time.

Good car but with apparently unsolvable issue

The car is good overall. But I keep finding my car dead. It spent many weeks at the dealership. I found a theory online and they replaced the fingerprint sensor. The problem seems mostly solved. But I did find my car dead once more since then. According to the law, my car is officially a lemon.

NAVIGATOR SPEED LIMITS NOT RELIABLE. LOVE THE MPG WITH THE HYBRID.

VERY SATISFIED OVERALL. NAVIGATOR NOT SHOWING PROPER SPEED LIMITS. WHEN I COMPLAINED, SOLUTION WAS TO REMOVE THE SPEED LIMITS ALL TOGETHER.

Very comfortable and fun to drive. Minor Tech issues.

I get great mileage, and driveability is simply fantastic. It's a comfortable car, and very responsive. The only issues are tech related, problems with bluetooth, heating/AC, lights, and dashboard indicators.

overall it's a nice car but has a few annoying quirks.

it's a nice car, very comfortable and good for long trips with great gas mileage and range and good safety features sometimes it has incredible acceleration and sometimes it struggles to accelerate and I find that incredibly frustrating. I also don't like how the dashboard lights go out for no apparent reason so you can't see anything.
