THINGS TO CONSIDER DURING NEXT AUTO PURCHASE

Though I am pleased with the overall performance of the vehicle - the cabin is very noisy; a/c/heating unit very noisy when running; and unable to see time and radio settings during daylight hours. Also, would have liked to have side mirrors that fold back. If I had paid closer attention to these I items, I probably would not have purchased the car.

My Hyundai

I have owned this car for eight years and have found it to be very durable. My major complaint is that at idle, the air conditioning stops cooling. Other Hyundai owners that I know also have the same complaint. The dealer says this is normal. I live in Florida and I find it very annoying.

'09 Sonata Limited. 3.2 liter V-6

Overall a nice car. Great on gas, reliable and even at 9 years old very little goes wrong other than what I'd expect as normal wear and tear. 102,000 miles on it now. I replaced the conventional oil with Penzoil Platinum full synthetic have had no problems with seals or any other leaks which switching could cause in some 9-10 year old cars. We'll most likely still be driving it well after it's paid for in 2 years.

Not bad for the price point

I purchased my Sonata as a demo vehicle in 2009. It has served me well but I am limited in using it for long distance driving as the seats lack the comfort needed for extended travel. I have enjoyed the Sirius radio, excellent sound system and the autos ability to cool quickly, a must for the TN summers!!! The vehicle has great gas mileage and despite the light weight, it handles well. If the manufacturer improves the seats (more or better cushioning), I could and would increase my overall rating.

Sonata view point on ownership

I love my Sonata very much. I was thinking I would get another one in a couple of years. It maneuvers very well. I get very good gas mileage and with regular maintenance it keeps on running smoothly. Except for this gasket problem that just arose. Which was not covered by any warranty, I have been very pleased with it's performance. I dread going to your service department because of the outrageous prices especially on labor.

Decent in Summary

Overall a good car but there are some issues that stand out. The vehicle is very sensitive to bumps in the road, the smallest bump feels like a giant pothole. It's not easy to maneuver in the winter season, the littlest amount of wet snow/slush will have you sliding all over the road, even with snow tires equipped...has the tendency to get stuck as well.

2009 sonata

A very reliable vehicle. I have had very little problems the past 8 years. Any problems I had were covered under the warranty with exception of a brake problem with the brake caliber failing on my rear passenger side wheel.

Great car!

Our Sonata is now being passed down to my third daughter. After 156,000 miles we just need brakes and rotors up front and a transmission flush. GREAT gas mileage too! Runs forever on a tank of gas!

Excellent car

My Hyundai 2009 Sonata has been very reliable, no major issues. Had some trouble with seal in my sunroof and a headlight bulb in same spit goes out, but that can happen in any car. Back seats fold down for transporting large things, and trunk is very roomy! Comfortable seats, fold down rear console, storage pouches on back of seats, side door molded pouches for handy storage access. No vents in back though for the a/c to circulate better. Would love another Sonata or step up! This car as far as safety, comfort, mechanical maintenance dependability and price, is alongside Toyota and Honda!

Economical and reliable

My 2009 Hyundai Sonata has been very reliable. At the time of purchase, it was the best value for its class. I've only had minor repairs and recommended maintenance. My husband offered to buy me a new car but I said, "no thank you!"

I have owned Hyundai vehicles for approximately twenty years, I enjoy driving my vehicle , it gets good gas mileage, it is comfortable to drive, I enjoy the extras, the size makes it comfortable to ride in yet roomy for five passengers.

Hyundai Sonata

My Sonata is almost 10 years old (2009 model). Never have had a problem with it since I bought it new. I hope it stays that way for a little longer. It's an easy car to drive, and has a lot of features. It still looks great despite its age, and it even with the V6 engine it gets good gas mileage. It's not a sports car but is styled kind of sporty, and I still like it. This is the second Hyundai I have purchased new and both turned out to be trouble free cars.

Sturdy And Reliable Car

A little under powered l, definitely not for someone on the bigger side good car for a first time driver. Great Gas mileage, a lil peppy if your not on the heavier side, very sturdy acceleration is smooth.
