2010 Hyundai Sonata

Overall a great car and warranty. However just a few concerns. The 3rd brake light bulb is very hard to access and replace. I would normally change it myself but had to hire a mechanic to do it. Suggest a simpler design to make it easier to replace. Another concern are the plastic door handles that keep braking. Suggest a better design or metal handles. Final concern is that I rarely use the A/C and just have the fresh air vents cool the car. However, if the engine is hot, the fan blows in hot air into the interior. Suggest a better design for this condition.

Good car for the price

Bought new in 2010 for only $15k and now have just over 50k on the Sonata.Have replaced the front brakes,tires,+battery in the 7 years we have owned it.Recently had to replace an emissions part,the canister which was a $400 job. I'd still say the Sonata is a good buy if you pay 20k or less but don't expect it to last like a Toyota or Honda.Also it depreciates faster than those brands.

Sonata's are Great

I have enjoyed my Sonata since day one. It seemed the same or smaller than previous cars, but it is so roomy inside that I would be claustrophobic in my old cars. I have recommended it to others.

Good Value & Functional

I bought this vehicle new in 2010. It has ran well for 7 years and 132,000 miles. I only had to replace the swing arm links and ball joints because of the rough condition Interstate 215 was in that I had to drive almost everyday. It is roomy, plenty of power, 168 HP. The vehicle feel sturdy and well built. These days with all the monster size vehicles on the road, the Sonata give me a sense of safety. For the price point I bought my vehicle in 2010, $15,990, Sonata GLS 4 Cylinders, I consider it a very good value purchase.

I have owned 2 Sonata's[2009/2010] and 1 Elantra [2004]. I am very satisfied with performance of all vehicles. I love the styling of the 2009/2010 Sonatas'. I do not like later body styles.

The Sonta is a good car and the gas mileage is one of the best.

I have a few problems with the car: two of the door handles have fallen off and lately the door on the driver's side could not be opened from the inside. The dashboard is cracking.( I have never experienced this before in any of the Hyundai(s) that I have purchased in the past). Additionally, I am unable to use the "lighter" to charge the mobile phone. However, the car still runs great and the exterior has held up well.

This vehicle models pretty good!

I have found my Hyundai Sonata Limited V6 to be a good car. The trunk space is pretty good and the overall look of it is good. The only drawback is the paint job wasn’t done correctly. But there’s a lot to love about this car. Overall it’s been pretty reliable!

Powertrain warranty failed me

I am the original owner of my 2010 Sonata that has 95,500 miles. I just took it to the local Hyundai dealer for the first problem in 8 years. About a month ago the transmission started to have a "hard" down shift at about 20 MPH. The dealer saw that it needed the latest transmission update which they loaded and sure enough it fixed the problem. The bad news was that the update was NOT covered by my 100,000 powertrain warranty. This really bothers me, come on Hyundai, what is the deal???

Since ownership of this car 2010 sonata three door handles have fallen off when opening the door and the left outside mirror have also fallen off,Hyundia fixed two handles no charge one handle I had to pay for labor, refuse to fix the mirror

2010 Hyundai Sonata

This has been a great car, with a 100,000 mile warranty and no mechanical problems in over 8 years. It gets good gas mileage, especially on long freeway trips. The only thing I would change is the 4-cylinder engine, which is low on power for uphill climbs.

2010 Hyundai Sonata

I really like my 2010 Hyundai Sonata. I rides smoothly and comfortably. I think the only critique I have about it is the air vents for the driver side. They don't really provide adequate coverage for cooling the driver side. I would suggest a redesign so that the driver side has better coverage. Other than that, I am happy with the car.
