Great economical car

I am using 2010 Sonata since January 2011 with approximately 45,000 miles on the vehicle. The vehicle has been used primarily for local travels only and not even for daily use such as going to school or work. There has not been any problem worth noticing or that I remember.

Reliable and Economical

Even though my Sonata is 8 years old it handles and drives very well. Great on gas. Good quality car. The visibility in the Sonata is excellent all the way around. I would definitely consider buying another Sonata.

Enjoyable and reliable transportation

I have owned the 2010 Sonata GLE for several years, purchasing it as a certified used vehicle. I find it most enjoyable and has been very reliable thus far. Although not in the "luxury" category; it is comfortable for long trips and meets or exceeds transportation needs. Most impressive factor is that this vehicle gets almost 40 mpg on the hwy. (4cyl) even after 90k miles.

Great car, only one compalint

We have put over 100K miles on this car and really like it.The only problem is that there is a known issue with door handles breaking. This should have been taken care of under a factory recall and not left to the consumer to repair.

Mostly good

I've been driving my Hyundai Somata for 8.5 years. The motor has been great. I've only had cosmetic problems... had to replace 2 door handles, the passenger side mirror is askew, the driver window switch sometimes doesn't work, the gas release cover is hard to release. Little inconveniences but it's up to 165000 miles and they are all mine so I guess I'll drive it till it drops.

Plastic handles, fell off, twice for me. When driving down the interstates I have to turn up the radio to hear anything. Back seat uncomfortable. Ride is a little rough. Gets me where I want to go. Pretty good on gas. I am satisfied with the car overall but don't think I will get another Sonata. I will probably drive it until it falls apart. I have a 2001.

Door handles

On my 2010 Sonata three door have broke off and one outside mirror Hyundai fixed two with no charge the third I had to pay for labor they want fix the mirror at all for reason I do not know other than that the car is fine

Sonata

The Sonata is a very good vehicle. I get great mileage. However the interior of the car was made with cheap quality material and for that I am very disappointed. I have had other cars and never had the hand rest split open or the dashboard crack on the door handle break off . I paid cash for that car and it runs well but I am embarrased by the interior. My car has only approximately 76,300 miles and the interior looks like a car that's been around the block. I am the only driver and I take good car of my car so the deterioration inside upsets me.

pretty good

pretty good value. little things come up: passenger seat leather was replaced once and needs another replacement, but that isn't covered by warranty any longer. no one ever sits there, but it's all scratched and looks awful. passenger door handle coming off; strange as passenger door used far less than driver side door. rear door lock doesn't work, must be activated manually. would be nice to have swivel rear view mirrors. ride is not quiet. v-6 has good power. cd got stuck in player, which no longer works -- not under warranty and ridiculous cost to replace unit, which is only way to get it out. navigation system was way out of date when car was purchased and hyundai wouldn't replace. i would consider buying again, but would definitely look at competitorrs this time.

Overall Review of Sonata

Love the vehicle overall. Paint job was a disaster after 3 years. Continuous flaking of paint. All four exterior door handles have had to be replaced due to breakage because they are made of plastic. Same with interior driver side door handle interior mechanism. Plastic-urgh!!! Otherwise, car runs great, gets great gas mileage. Will definitely consider purchasing again but it only has 115,000+ miles so still good to go. Just gotta get a paint job.

Hanging in there

I've had my 2010 sonata for almost a decade now. Bought it in December 2009. It's been a good car. I've only done maintenance to it and I drive it a lot! One thing about it that could be improved would be higher quality parts on the interior. My driver's seat looks pretty beat up in areas and my driver's side sun visor doesn't stay up. The crazy thing about the sunvisor is it's really expensive to replace so it's not even worth it!

quality on 2010 Sonata

Never have owned a car (have had about 15) that I have had to replace all the exterior door handles. Poor rubber trim. The reliability is very good, have had only minor issues with the overall reliablity

Bought for the safety features and warranty, and my car has been dependable. Convinced my mother to look at the car, and she is driving an even more updated version now. Able to obtain reliable service in my city, and hope to keep driving it years to come.

really good for the cost

This vehicle has served me well for 10 years now without major breakdowns. I really like the design. It is nosy on the road .I find myself turning up the radio volume quite high when I am on the freeway. I would say it is a great car for commuting.

Solid Car

I have a 2010 Hyundai Sonata which is still going strong. I haven't had any major issues with the vehicle at all; it's always dependable. The only have two negatives for this particular year/model I have are that I've had to have all the handles replaced -- they have just come off at one point or another - and after sitting in the sun for years my dash is cracking. Other than that, and particularly from a mechanical perspective, this car runs VERY well and is in great shape!

Well-pleased overall

Cabin noise and Gas mileage are disappointing. Recurring problem with momentary power steering loss due to wetness (driving through large puddles, for example) that service people could not find. Otherwise, very good.

Good and reliable vehicle

I purchased my 2010 Sonata as a used vehicle several years ago. I have had minimal problems along the way. A comfortable car, roomy for a midsize and very economical with the four cylinder, almost 40 mpg on the highway. As the car is now over 12 years old, some things are beginning to fail such as the TPMS and the Bluetooth for phone. At this point, also requires some front end suspension repair. Thankfully, no problems with motor or transmission.

2010 sonata

We had a 2003 Sonata. Ran great, only 2 problems. The radio/cd player needed replace in the first 3 years. Acted up again later but no longer covered. We had to have rust treated repeatedly. Last year with only 88000 miles on it the frame rusted. My 2010 has started to rust. It has only 48000 miles on it. Jim
