Loved it when it was new and still love it

I loved my Sonata 8 years ago and still love it today and hope to own yet another one in the future. The service has been marked by kindness, knowledge of the car, and prompt and timely repair work. Everyone at the body shop made it easy for me to understand the issues involved. Thank you so much

Engine Failure

My 2011 Sonata engine had to be replaced at 150000 miles. My daughter’s 2012 Elantra engine had to be replaced at 105,000 miles. My new engine cost $4800 with no assistance from Hyundai whatsoever. I’m going back to Honda.

High Quality Automobile

I was drawn to the Hyundai Sonata when I saw it featured in the cover of a car magazine. Consumer reports were fantastic, and it has turned out to be a reliable and high quality auto. Everything still works including my heated seats, and Bluetooth phone connection. From a very satisfied customer.

The car is good in most aspects.

I am driving the car for 8 years. The car is good in most aspects, such as power, handling, and breaking system. The after service is excellent. The recall service is fast and reliable. The interior is comfortable.

Haven’t owned long enough

But it seems like a great car. Unfortunately, the previous owner of mine didn’t care very good care of it and I’m diligently replacing worn parts myself and at the dealer. Hopefully it’ll last a long time.

2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0 T Limited

This vehicle looks great and for a short time worked great....it was well maintenanced with great records...still not enough to keep it from falling apart in less than 7 years and less than 100,000 miles...numerous recalls and mechanical failures to count...not worth the time or headache to own

Very Dependable Automobile

2011 Sonata only requires routine maintenance. My Sonata has been very dependable. Love the heated seats and wish my Sonata had ventilated (air cooled) seats since summers in Texas are very hot. All in all, very pleased with the 2011 Hyundai Sonata.

2011 Sonata Limited 2.4L review

Above Average overall. Engine bearing came apart around 80K miles. It was a recall/warranty issue so Hyundai replaced engine. Radiator resistor burns out frequently in hot weather, which causes radiator fan to not work and engine overheats at low speeds or basically when there is little to no airflow over the radiator. Non warranty repair. Steering began shaking over bumps or at higher speeds, which was due to a faulty rubber coupling in the electric steering motor. Non warranty repair. Starter failed at around 100K due to faulty plastic solenoid fork that broke. Non warranty repair. Having said all this, the car drives nice and Hyundai does an excellent job with recalls and safety.

My 2011 Sonata turbo has been very dependable and more important to me a very fun car to drive.My car has 140,000 miles with original struts and still handles well. This car has the best turning radius of any car I have ever driven. Mileage in town has been about 21 mpg, but maybe that comes back to the fun to drive I mentioned earlier. I wish it had all the safety devices that are currently available on Sonatas.

Probably the best vehicle I have ever owned. So good that I bought a 2015 model as well. Now it may be time to replace the 2011 model with a 2019 model. I'll give you some more writing since I can not submit this inquiry if it is not 200 words! Amen!

Never ending problems

Our car has been in the shop more than on the streets! Check engine light came on and car had loss of power monthly when we first purchased the car with and with ONLY 11,000 miles! Don’t buy a turbo!

I call my Sonata.. the "Black Panther" it is sleek and has wonderful profile. I keep the car washed and clean and get lotsof compliments on what an attractive car it is. This is my 3rd asonata and I have also owned an Elantra.

My Sonata 2011 is the best car I have. Since I always take it to the same dealer. Good service, work with the recalls and the good customer service they have. Every time I need to take it to the dealer just make the app. on line and is the perfect way.

Happy

This has been an excellent car. When its due an oil change, I go to Jenkins. Since I consider this my forever car, I take care of it. My only suggestion is that the passenger seat should be adjustable.

Too many recalls

These cars are no good. Hyundai, Kia do not buy them. Do your researchy. We had seat belt recall, clutch recalls, airbag recall.lastly the engine ticking now my car engine blew out and they are replacing the whole engine.

Sonata

I absolutely love, love, love my Sonata. This is our third Hyundai we had two Elantras and then purchased our Sonata. Drives like a dream and my 6’2” husband is more than comfortable in it. We have taken it to the Outer Banks three times now, mileage is great and it is a very comfortable ride. My next car will most likely be a Gary Rome Sonata.

Bad car just looks nice, has tooooooo manyyyyyyy problems, a looooooot of recallssss and requires too much maintenance for its low quality. I’ve spent a lot of money fixing pretty much everything it’s insane.

This 2011 Sonata Hybrid now has over 91,000mi.. Aside from "Recalls", my vehicle has always been dependable and running as if engineered well. Been made in S. Korea may be of some insurance of this Quality manufacture.
