Will never buy from this company again.

I have never had so many recalls on a vehicle ever. While most recalls were not safety issues two of them were and one recall put my family in danger - twice. Both times I had contacted the company before hand and they either told me to wait or told the Burnsville location - of which I have had very few problems with - to do work on the car that didn't fix the issue.

2011 sonata has burn a quart of oil every 1000 miles.... do you want a car like this.

Too many recalls, burn a quart of oil every 10000 mikes and that is acceptable with Hyundai?

Cheaply made

At 140,000 miles my vehicle is showing just how cheaply it is made. Front clip is falling off, oil pan rusted through, inside fender well rubbing on front tire, fuel door won't open. I never had these types of problems with domestic vehicles.

Never again!!!

I’ve had way too many recalls and problems with my vehicle. I’ve had several cars and my 2011 Sonata has been by far the worst.

This year model is the worse ever

We have had our Sonata for the past 3 years. We bought this car from CARMAX when it had 45,000 miles on it. The Carfax was clear and the car seemed in pretty good condition. Crain Hyundai did a review and said it was road ready but could not guarantee that it was perfect (who would if it was not their car?). This car has had at least 10 recalls, needs more recalls and has front suspension issues that have plagued my car for the past 7 months. It has literally been to the Hyundai dealership three times a month for the last 6 months. Parts are outrageous and do not last. Aftermarket parts are the same. It has went though tie rods, sway bars, links for the sway bars, front rotors, front break calipers, front rotors, both front CV axels and front and rear hubs. Add this up and you can just about buy a good used car (I'm at least 6,000 into this just in the past 6 months). This car now needs a new motor due to an issue that Hyundai had leaving shavings inside the block. This car only has 107764 miles on it and has literally fallen apart.

I've got a lemon

I am ALWAYS at the dealership getting something fixed. My newest adventure is an oil leak. I have to put a quart of oil every 500 miles. If I didn't have to fix something on a monthly basis, it wouldn't be a half bad car.

Full of defects and problems

First and last time I'm owning a Hyundai. From engine, to transmission, to electricals, to fit and precision is way below par. Problems are always cropping up, not to mention RECALLS! I've only owned the car 3 years, and I've received more than 4 recalls (engine metal residue, seatbelt, transmission, axle, brakes, etc)

Recall Overload

When I buy a car, I buy for dependability and durability. I don't trade much, would rather pay off before trading in. Due to my car having 17 plus recalls since deemed drivable I will not buy another Sonata or even think about buying a Hyundai. Too many recalls equals not a happy owner...

To many Recalls

I would not suggest this brand of car to anyone, the car is always being recalled. There is always a problem with the vehicle. Don't buy this car you will regret it in the long run. I believe that if it wasn't for the major recalls and electrical problems it would be an OK purchase.

Bad Sales Representative

The car I like. The hidden flaws to sell it I don’t. The sales representative was very misleading and I wouldn’t trust to buy another used vehicle from Opitz Woodbridge, VA again. Clear sealant chipped after a couple car washes and the rims the representative said were a steal for the car went from chrome to peeling and black.

Piece of S----T

In the 50 years of driving and car ownership this car has been the worst car I have ever owned. It has given us more trouble as well as loss of our time then any car we have ever owned. We have had a number of serious problems. We had the engine replaced, there was a turbo booster problem, any number of recalls and we only have 74,000 miles on a 2011. We have requested this car to be replaced by Hyundai on a few occasions which always falls on deaf ears. We have owned a Hyundai since 2003. We can tell you how upset and frustrated we are with this car. We have also lost a huge amount of trade in value do to the publicity surrounding the 500,000 cars that were recalled do to the engine failure which one of which was our car, thank you.

Pass

Constant repair issues. Scary things like engine just shutting down on the interstate. Another time the key went into the ignition and lockedwith the car electrical on. The electrical system has constant issues. Radio controller stops working. AC only turns on when you start driving with the windows down. Worst car ever owned. Hyundai should be ashamed.

Terrible car,even though brought it used,shouldn't have as many problems as I have had. It was a lemon.Man sold me this had to know car wasn't with $14,500. Would never buy again. Worst car ever. Brought it here

Bad news

Beautiful looking car! Horrible made car!! Has had about 16 recalls. Totally unacceptable!! Told them for 2 years there was trouble with car stalling right in the middle of driving & when taking off from stop lights, very dangerous!! Engine finally blew up at 90,000 miles! They had my car for three months waiting to get a new engine Huge leaf spring on right front broke. Had to purchase new one & have a friend help install because the dealership wanted way to much to do it. They said they had never seen one break. Took a couple weeks just to get a new one in. I understand now why they wanted me to buy a paint job warranty when I bought the car. Within weeks of purchase I was getting paint chips. More than I had on my old 8 year old vehicle. I'm 60 years old so I'm not rough on my car, but within a couple years the seat materials starting wearing. The dealership said they usually didn't see that. I could probably go on all day. I'm just ready to get rid of this car

piece of crap

To many recalls dash ,has spider webbed ,cruise quit working. Just a piece of crap. Very unhappy. Paint chipping. Sad pay almost 30 thousand for a car and you get a piece of crap. Should be able to use lemon law on this car

Don’t waiste your time and money!

The first 2 years my new expensive tiop of the line sonata was in the shop all the time. Navigation system battle for replacement with an old system that said my home was Tennessee, after months of bringing it in finally got a new one. Bluetooth out going speaker never worked right and they refused to fix it. Satellite radio transmitter replaced after another battle, back up camera replaced, engine replaced.

I got problem every month with that sonata its only 50.000 miles and I spend a lot of money to get it fix the first week last year after financed it till today 2018 I will never let my friends buying an sonata
