Great from the beginning

I own my Sonata 2L Turbo for less than 7 years. It was very powerful for the first years but then the turbocharger stopped working and now it is only 2L, which is not powerful any more and no fun. But it runs, no problem.

Sonata (song) for a Sonata.

Where to begin-- started crawling around under cars at age 8 when my dad brought home a funny little foreign car in the early 1960's. At age 18 made the choice to keep doing it, and went to trade school for 2 years to become an auto mechanic. Started career at 2 different GM dealer, thought the product OK, noted in the mid 70's the funny little foreign car was morphing into something not as fun, economical, and impressive. Left GM, wanting to work on the little foreign cars for pay this time, and found the changes happening made the car not as happy/desirable as before. Also noted the vehicle owners not as happy before. I would be sent out of town a few times a year for product updates and training. Was given cash to rent a vehicle for the trip, so I always rented different vehicles in order to compare. Rented a Jetta, an Optima, always would go back to renting Sonatas. The last time I needed to purchase a vehicle, there was no doubt--it would be a Sonata. I believe by experiencing personally driving many brands over my career, the Sonata excels. Would choose it over VW, Toyota, anything domestic; the cost of the vehicle added with the structural design/function tops any others I have dealt with. Also have to remember after that statement that during my career I have repaired and driven almost every type- Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, all domestics, BMW's, Porsches, Fiats, Renaults--the list goes on and on. Some were a total blast to drive, but wouldn't want to own one. Sonata gets the desired ownership title.

Very Good Vehicle....But Had a Number of Recalls

Our 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE is a very good car, but it did have a number of recalls. All of the needed repair work was covered by extended warranties that we didn't have to pay extra for. Hyundai makes vehicles that have good value for the money.

Great Car

The Sonata is very affordable. The warranty is the most impressive with the Hyundai brand. No other car company provides such an extinsive warranty. The Sonata runs great and the fuel economy is even better.

Hyundai Sonanta 2017 Hydrid

The vehicle was very different and attractive. Not only was it good on looks it is a comfortable riding experience as well. I loved the infotainment system. One specific app I enjoyed was car play and the easy usage of it all.

My Sonata

We bought our 2011 Sonata because of the redesign that year. It has been the best car we have ever owned. Dependable, exceeding all expectations, 165,000 miles later still drives and acts like a new car. Regular dealer service at recommended intervals keeps the car in "New operational condition". We expect to get many, many more miles and years from this car and when we buy a net car down the road, it most certainly be another new Sonata. Thank you Hyundai for one of the most dependable cars on America's highways.

I love my 2011 sonata , besides 4 recalls I've had good luck with the car with only aging parents to do Outside of repairs for basic wear and tear I've had great luck with my 2011 sonata.

Bad Sales Representative

The car I like. The hidden flaws to sell it I don’t. The sales representative was very misleading and I wouldn’t trust to buy another used vehicle from Opitz Woodbridge, VA again. Clear sealant chipped after a couple car washes and the rims the representative said were a steal for the car went from chrome to peeling and black.

Would love a 2018 SONATA

I own a 2011 Sonata since new and had little to no issues with it. I love my Sonata! Which is probably why I would love a brand new Sonata!! My Dad had a 2012 Sonata which my brother purchased it from him. My Aunt and Uncle in Florida recently purchased a 2018 Sonata. I welcomed her into the SONATA Family!! LOL!!!!

Nice size inside and out and it runs great on the open highway plenty of leg room up front for the driver as well as for its passenger..,nice window size for the driver as well as for passengers nothing obstructing a driver view

I’ve owned a Hynndai Sonata for about 2.5 years now and I’m completely satisfied. Overall versatility of the vehicle is amazing, great gas mileage, large interior, plenty of leg room, with all the upscale amenities of high end vehicle without the price tag.

Good dependable vehicle

Bought this car used, but it has been very dependable and has a good roomy interior for my family. Ride is pretty good, and trunk space is good, drives good have not had to do anything besides regular service

Had a Mercedes!

Before owning the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, I drove a sports model Mercedes Benz. When I was looking for a second car, I saw ads for the Hyundai Sonata. When I mentioned to friends the car that I was considering, they were shocked! "Not another Benz?" " A Hyundai?" Admittedly, I had shared those responses. It was all based on the past image of a Sonata! The new models were so elegant! They had a really classy body! After test driving one, I was sold! The gas mileage won me over hands down! Maintenance was routine! No mechanical issues! The car rides comfortably and smoothly. It is often mistaken for other high end models! As soon as a convertible model is released, I'll be in the line for purchase! So, though I had driven Mercedes Benz cars before this purchase, I have not been disappointed with the overall quality and performance. I love my 2011 Hyundai Sonata!

First Foreign Brand

This is my first time I ever purchased a foreign brand vehicle. I am thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the vehicle and service by Hyundai. I will definitely look at one of their SUVs next time but it should be a while since I think my Sonata is going to last a long time.

My Hyundai Sonata 2.0 T

I've had great reliability service from my Sonata. I now have 118,000 miles and I've had mostly regular service when I have brought my vehicle for service. When I drove my Sonata to Phoenix, Arizona I average 36 miles per gallon. The performance on the highway was great. The power to pass cars and trucks I rate a 10. The power in my turbo reminded me of the 1964 Buick Riviera I drove when I was 16 years old. I'm 70 years old now. My parents & I drove to Texas 4 times in that Riviera. The Riviera had a 425 engine with 340 hp. This Sonata has a great comfort ride. My second car is a Cadillac DHS, and I prefer driving my Sonata. My failure was to get the rearview camera which I regret. I love my Sonata 2.0 T!!!!!!!!

2011 Hyundai Sonata Review

Good car. Has 82,000+ mileage. Gas mileage is decent and acceleration is very good. Complaints--After 82,000 miles, it is not the smoothest ride. And, the street noise is loud. It is ridiculous that I should be compelled to write at least 200 characters. I said what I had to say and that should be sufficient. Maybe I should talk about the great San Diego weather. Or the lousy Winter in the East. Get real folks!

Reliable, comfortable, solid power; best 2011 sedan in its class

I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo Limited. It has 142,000 miles on it now and I bought it new in December of 2010. It has been an incredible car and 7 plus years later remains reliable, comfortable and powerful

The Car You Are Looking For!

My Hyundai has not disappointed me one bit! It's a great car for anyone, a teens first or the last car people will ever get. It's smooth, spacious, slick, and convenient for anyone to use. I have not found a flaw in my Hyundai and I don't think you will either. It's a car that will last you a life time! If you want a durable, gentle, and clean car, you'll want to make the purchase and buy one of these! With features your going to love and a comfort your going to enjoy, this car is the best to drive! Like new

The reason I purchased a Hyundai was the 100,000 mile warranty , and it came in handy when at 91,000 miles I started to burn oil , engine light never came on but was pointed out at oil change . Once the dealer documented the issue , a brand new engine was installed , I added new belts and hides for cuts if parts only and my Sonata is like new , warranty is extended to 120,000. So glad I purchased the Sonata , most cars only warranty up to 50 or 60k with powertrain. So the added warranty was great to have !
