Bad

This car has been nothing but recalls and problems. From electrical to seats not working back windows don’t work interior lights don’t work. My engine seized and now my radio doesn’t work and Hyundai refuses to fix it

2011Sonata

Sucks. I have the car almost 8 years and have had nothing but problems over and over. You can check with Burlington Hyundai's service dept as well as Garvey Hyundai North in Plattsburgh, NY if you need verification.

2011 Hyunai Sonata

I have had 7 recalls on my Sonata. I also have seen reports of the car randomly starting on fire. I will NEVER buy another Hyundai of any kind. I have no further comments on this vehicle. I would not purchase a Kia either.

I ,m not happy with my 2011 Sonata , I have had too many recalls on this car , but they do take care of what has to be done and I thank you for that . Maybe the 2011 sonata was just bad year for Hyundai .

Garbage vehicle

I have a 2011 Sonata car has had several recalls including the motor needing replaced, as well as several seat belt and air bag issues, a steering issue with the electronic unit, so far 5 recalls and another one is being issued end of February. The paint on this car is pealing off as well. Hyundai needs to issue new vehicles or some type of compensation for all the inconveniences of constantly taking car to the dealership

Lemon Car

I’ve had nothing but issues with my car since I drive it off the lot. I purchased it with zero miles brand new and the first year I had the car it wouldn’t start 3 different times. The push start kept going out, amongst so many other issues. I’m constantly taking it to my mechanic for different fixings. So much, that he talks about how poor quality of car I have and I should’ve taken it back. It is not reliable at all, and there’s always a recall in my vehicle as well. The last recall expletive I had was horrible. Hyundai in Rockwall gave me the run around because they didn’t want to replace the engine which was a recall and then months later had issues with the engine. I’ve had too many experiences to write down. I will never purchase another Hyundai vehicle and I wouldn’t recommend it anyone except for an enemy.

To Many Recalls

Not a good vehicles to buy not even to trust on nothing . Services on the dealer at orlando only Greg is the best one in there . los miles almost finish payments and not happy with my vehicle not even trust driving . scared that anything can happen or a new recall more can come . horrible . not even company giving at least new vehicle do to many Recalls many complains many issues .

Too many recalls

Every since I bought this vehicle for my daughter it has stayed more in the shop for recalls than on the road.....engine recall, seat belt , ECU recall, the back tail lights burn out quite frequently

Too many recalls

These cars are no good. Hyundai, Kia do not buy them. Do your researchy. We had seat belt recall, clutch recalls, airbag recall.lastly the engine ticking now my car engine blew out and they are replacing the whole engine.

Engine Failure

My 2011 Sonata engine had to be replaced at 150000 miles. My daughter’s 2012 Elantra engine had to be replaced at 105,000 miles. My new engine cost $4800 with no assistance from Hyundai whatsoever. I’m going back to Honda.

Poor Quality

In the period of time we own this car we have replaced almost all the working mechanical parts possible. Its actually a joke between the service dept and us as what we haven repaired or replaced yet. The aluminum wheels are especially troublesome. They are made so cheaply that from the time we first bought the car the air leaked out creating the automatic low tire pressure light to go off. These wheels are so expensive to replace we now wind up putting air in the tires every few days. The service dept days there isn't anything the can do as the rims were bent either when we hit a pot hole or the curb when we park. I have been driving almost 60 years and it has not happened on any other care I ever owned.

Don’t buy a 2011 Hyundai Sonata

This vehicle has had so many problems. Recall after recall involving airbags, seatbelt fasteners, and the engine. My car broke down while I was on the interstate an hour and a half away from home. Engine problems at 89,000 miles is a major concern of what’s to come. Never will I ever buy a Hyundai again.

Poorly Manufactured and Designed

This car has had about 15 recalls, a class action lawsuit, and an over extended warranty to cover their mistakes. My engine has been replaced and there are many other issues. My exterior lights have to be changed every few months. And 9 years later there are still multiple recalls coming. There are also extended warranty recalls that are being sent but unfortunately I am over the 120,000 miles that these are usually covered for. Don't buy a 2011 Sonata.

Worst car I’ve ever owned

I was so excited to get a hybrid that didn’t look like a Prius. Essentially spent 32k in 2011 for a car that got same gas mileage as the normal sonata. In class action law suit over this but will never recoup the extra 10k I paid. Due to this car is now worth $1500 when trading in. Horrible ?

Lemon Car

I purchased the recertified preowned car during Aug 2013 in LIC, NYC. It's been 6 years, and since day one I have had problems with this car. The same week I tried exchanging it n they refused. Very disappointed. Car is paid in full n still havent enjoyed a smooth ride. My old Toyota of 13 yrs drove better ... smh

Poorly built engine

Hyundai should be ashame for putting out cars with poorly built engine. With my engine going out it put me in so much debt. I will never get another Hyundai! Put more money into the car to getting the car fix than what I paid for it

The Worst

We have had nothing but trouble with this car. We have had the engine replaced as well as numerous other issues. The tire rims are weak and have created issues with the automatic tire pressure gauges which are far to expensive to replace. Yu can check with Eric and look up our records. Because of these issues we will never buy another Hyundai and we advise our friends and family the same.

Hyundai Sonata is a LEMON

I would never recommend the Hyundai Sonata or any Hyundai product to anyone. I tried to get it declared a "lemon". Unfortunately the State Attorney's Office informed me that the time limit had expired. So, I am stuck with this nightmare of an automobile.

2011 Sonata Failings

A good vehicle whose performance has been diminished by a series of parts failing. Parts in critical locations fail rendering the vehicle inoperative requiring it to be towed for repairs. Car rides nicely and performs adequately but too many incidents requiring towing.
