Love my Hyundai

This is my second Hyundai and I love the way they handle. They are nice, comfortable and affordable. My last Hyundai lasted for 10 years and would have lasted longer if I hadn't been hit by another vehicle.

EXCELLENT MID SIZE SEDAN.

EACH YEAR THE SONATA SEEMS TO BE JUST ABOUT PERFECT, AND YET EVERY YEAR, IT GET A BIT BETTER. THE CURRENT MODEL FEATURES SMART SAFETY FEATURES, KNOWN AS THE 'ULTIMATE PACKAGE'. IF IT SAVES YOUR LIFE JUST ONCE IT IS A BARGAIN. THE BASE 4 CYLINDER ENGINE STILL PRODUCES 185HP, BUT THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN IMPROVED WITH A 'SPORT MODE' THAT MAKES IT MORE RESPONSIVE.

once you get used to it......

We've had it for 3years now. Still impressed with quietness and general quality. Vehicle also did an outstanding job protecting us in a 5 vehicle accident ($9000 in damage). The best part is getting a fillup and knowing you've got 550 miles in the tank. Who cares how cheap gas gets, not having to stop for gas with 50/50 driving is just a great kick! When gas is expensive, even better. Special close in parking for battery-hybrid vehicles at a lot of national and state parks is great as well. I would buy again.

Good car

When the car was new the power steering was twitchy, but that settled down after a few thousand miles. At first I was a little frustrated because my battery went down if I left the car unused more than a couple of weeks. Then I learned about a special fuse in a panel near the driver's left knee. Now I pull that when I will be out of town for a while. My radio presets hold, but not the clock setting. The car is very comfortable to drive, even for road trips. I wished the mirrors had a convex area to eliminate blind spots. I went to an auto parts store and bought adhesive add on mirrors for seeing into blind spots. My wife's new 2016 Tucson now has a convex mirror on the driver's side. I like that I can go to a home improvement store and get a ten foot length of pipe fully inside the car by putting the back seats downl. I also like that I can load Podcasts onto a thumb drive and play them through the audio system.

I absolutely recommend the Hyundai Sonata for it versatility in transporting passengers, cargo,..., ease of handling, passenger space front and rear, very large trunk space with or without collapsible rear seats and functionality of purpose.

2012 Sonata first repair at 105K.

After many cross country trips my 2012 Sonata had it's first mechanical repair. I've never owned a car that went over 100K miles without a major repair. And I don't consider a serpentine belt replacement and steering coupler repair major repairs.
