Almost but not quite there.

I don’t want to jinx it but so far the 2012 Sonata Hybrid is great. Unfortunately, the gas mileage isn’t what was quoted when I purchased the car. This was the main reason I payed more for a hybrid. I received a small check once to make up for the lower gas mileage rate. Also, the outside starter was quoted in the price but was not installed in the car, whoops! Still had to pay the same quoted price. The leather seats have cracked and are not that comfy anymore. Lots of recalls. This model was purchased in Missouri.

Hyundai Hybrid - Made By Liars and Cheaters

Purchased this hybrid for my wife in 2012. Later was informed about a class-action lawsuit for deceptive advertising, hybrid did not achieve the mileage that they advertised or reported. They gave us three options, 1) discount an another new Hyundai, 2) some very small cash award, 3) maintenance card for $800 (I think). I chose #3, thought we could use it for routine or standard maintenance. That's been 3+ years, and still no result from the lawsuit. They want to drag it out so they never have to pay anything on the class-action suit. My car is now 6+ years old, and still nothing. Do they think I am stupid enough to buy another Hyundai? They already showed me they are dishonest. Now they try to cheat me when I get called in for a safety recall to replace an airbag module. Take my advice, never buy a Hyundai.

This is my 3rd Hyundai product, Love it, Is very comfortable, rides very well, Stereo System is very weak. Great fuel economy, I get 38 to 43 MPG on the highway and around 29 to 32 MPG in the winter. Hyundai has taken care of all recalls with good mechanics.

Sonata is a great car

WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. NO MECHANICAL ISSUES. FINISH AND SMALL ITEMS HOLD UP WELL. BOUGHT MY 2012 IN 2014 WITH 25M MILES.HAVE 71M MILES AND HAVE HAD 0 PROBLEMS. WILL BUY ANOTHER BUT A HYBRED THIS TIME. WOULD HAPPILY RECOMMEND ONE TO SOMEONE.

WONDERFUL VEHICLE, EVEN AFTER SEVERAL YEARS

I bought the 2012 Sonata used, and the previous owner was a very good caretaker. I do Rideshare, and Comfort and a Comfortable Ride (and a large trunk for the luggage of those going to/from the airport!) were priority needs for my vehicle. The Sonata fits all those things, and people comment frequently on how COMFORTABLE the back seat is, and ask me questions about how I like the car. They're always very surprised and impressed when I say it's a 2012 Model! I couldn't have picked a nice car for my Rideshare purchase.

I love my 2012 Hyundai Sonata..

I do love my 2012 Hyundai Sonata and I plan on keeping it for a long time. It is great to drive around town and is pretty snappy on the Interstate. We take a few long trips and for this size of a automobile the ride is pretty good.

some what tech package

Gives decent gas mileage. Like that I can use a USB stick for music, bluetooth capabilities, easy to drive. Like the directions n,s,e & w in the rearview mirror. Wish it was wider better leg room in the front and back. Responsive steering, have to pump brakes because of hydraulic braking features if car sits too long reason starting is because of the hurricane last year.

Great buy!

We have enjoyed trouble free service from this car. Great mileage, and comfortable to drive. Easy on tires and fuel. We have had many compliments on the appearance and smooth ride. The interior is built to last, and easy to keep clean.

Love my 2012 Sonata!

I love this car. My only complaint (and it usually doesn't bother me too much) is that the road noise is always present. I also wish that I had picked out a 6 cylinder engine. Overall it is peppy enough and the double sunroof is wonderful! It is disappointing that this feature is no longer available.

I love my Sonata

I tried out every single car company--reviewed all my choices and sat in every available model before I fell in love with Hyundai Sonata. The car has served me well and plan to drive it many more miles. I love its overall design and have notices that many of its stylings are now in other non-Hyundai models.

2012 and 2016

I have a 2012 and 2016 sonatas, I purchased them influenced by their warranty and I have not been disappointed so far, any problems were fixed using the warranty. I noticed an appreciable difference on the quality, even though the 2012 is a good car the 2016 is even better, all the details and the feel of the car is better.

Wonderful car!

We bought our 2012 Sonata in 2015. It's a great car, fun to drive and comfortable. I keep looking at new ones but don't want to give up mine. I love it too much! My friends all like it also. I could sell it in a minute to one of them if I wanted to. But "NO" not yet.

Love at first sight.

I’m in love with my sonata. It has everything I want in a car. I keep it looking like new. I even clean the engine. Shoes must come off when sitting in the back. No smoking. No door slamming. Sing along with seriusxm. I will have the car forever!!!! No need to buy another.

Vehicle Review

My vehicle has provided reliable service ever since I purchased it. I wish the company would allow the service centers to upgrade the safety features as they become available as they introduce with the newer models. The reliability of this vehicle has greatly improved, so why change. I think the company should extend the bumper to bumper warranty. I would like to see this warranty extended the same as the drivetrain. Customer satisfaction and repeat business are why you're in business. Just like the Hyundai Sonata, the senior citizens are living longer and may not want to take on any more higher debts.

2012 Hyundai Sonata

I have owned my car for approximately 7 years and I have had a pleasant experience. I have not had to do any major repairs, thankfully! The only issue I have is with the maintenance required in order to get free tires is a bit on the expensive side. Besides some oil changes I did not do any of the required maintenance at the Hyundai dealership.

I really love this car, it looks great and it feels comfortable

The vehicle was fully tested and it worked amazingly. I'm really in love with my car. So far, it's been doing amazing. Actually, the Air Conditioner of the sonata is very accurate, so I really recommend this car if you are thinking about it. I can't wait to get the new 2018 sonata.

HYUNDAI SONATA HAS BEEN MY BEST CAR EVER

I have had Toyota vehicles all of my life because of their dependability and good service history with me. But in 2008 I was encouraged by my uncle to try the Hyundai Sonata. I did and it was the best switch I ever made! I traded my silver Sonata (I have always traded in my cars every 4 to 5 years for a new one) in for a red one. I did and I love this 2012 so much that I don't want to ever trade it in! What an excellent car this has been. This one is a turbo and I am 69 years old! I love how nicely it handles on the road, I love the double-window sunroof, love the Sirus radio, love the red color and how smart it looks on the road, love how the back seats fold down through to the trunk, love the trunk space, love the back-up camera, love the heated seats, love the GPS and I love that I have been very satisfied with all of my service visits these past 6 years! Thank you Hyundai, you rule over Toyota!

Great

It’s the best car I over brought and pretty much maintenance free. Great gas mileage. Ride good on the road. I have over 80 thousands miles and the only thing I have done on that car is oil changes and tires & wind shield wipers.
