3rd sonata and last

I've never had so many recalls. Both break lights melted the wires and that's not even a recall. They said this year's model is made better. Think I would have learned after my first sonata, major recall

Ryan's 2014 2.0T

Absolutely love my Sonata there are only a few issues that bother me: MAJOR: 1. Taillight harness: the bulbs fuse to the harness and burn out, it becomes impossible to change the bulbs without replacing the wiring harness, this is a KNOWN issue regarding Sonata and Elantra models 2011 or 2012 through 2015. This problem is all over the internet and all of the service staff know about it but Hyundai NEVER offered a customer courtesy replacement, very out of character, very NOT Hyundai! 2. I was going through front brake pads very quick, I decided to upgrade to performance cross drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic and carbon fiber pads....what a tremendous difference. I understand that a brake upgrade is NOW offered through the dealerships service department. 3. EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF ROAD NOISE IN CABIN. Minor issues: 1. Bad placement and no illumination for fuel door and trunk release buttons. 2. AM antenna reception extremely poor. 3. Turn signal left on too long alert needs to be louder.

Best Car of the year !!!

Thank you for a sporty car that is great for travel, great for my business, and fits every need i have. Superb car! Wish it got better gas mileage but it rides smooth and is comfortable. My kids love our car now.

I just want to say that my 2014 Hyundai Sonata has been my best car ever. I have always felt like I am driving a more expensive car, the dependability is off the charts. Buy a Hyundai, it's the best choice you can make for yourself and your family.

A Great Reliable Vehicle!

My 2014 Hyundai Sonata has many options including a 2.0 Turbo charged engine, Navigation system with a rear back-up camera, Blind-spot detection; along with Blue-tooth connectivity for my I-phone. The car also has a moon-roof, fog lamps; & key-less entry along with a proximity key for push button starting. My car gets great gas mileage: 28 mpg. in the city and 32.5 mpg. on the highway. The engine has plenty of power and over-all the vehicle is a very good comfortable ride. I'm very happy with my vehicle purchase!

Been driving for 62 years. Owned a lot of cars, Ford, Chevy, Rambler, V.W. Buick, Nisson, Dodge, Toyota and more My Hyundai Sonata is the best of them all. My next car will certainly be a Hyundai.

Love, love, love my Sonata!

This is my third Sonata. It is a great car in all aspects...gas mileage, maintenance, repairs (almost nothing has required fixing to date and I have 75K on this car), looks, etc. Itg is also really fun to drive. I would buy another one in a quick minute.

2014 Sonata

I don't know why I have to meet a requirement of 200 characters in order to submit this survey. The car is sporty looking. Hard to get into and out of for myself (5"9" 180 lbs.). It would help to have a tilt steering wheel instead of the tilt column which I consider useless. It does not tilt enough to do any good.

My Sonata

My 2014 Sonata has been great drove it from California to Arkansas roundtrip twice in 2 years first trip towed a small uhaul trailer and both trips it performed flawlessly, it's my regular driver vehicle very comfortable and smooth ride, have the base 4cyl. Engine and 6 speed transmission and still a very quick vehicle, my next vehicle will definitely be a another Sonata.

Love ❤️ my Sonata

I love my Sonata. This is my second Hyundai. I first had a Elantra. It never gave us any trouble the 12+ years we had it. The Sonata gets up an goes. Looks good, feels good, handles good. A lot of Fun to drive. I like all the options. The trunk is very roomy. The back seat is roomy. It would be nice if the seats were a little higher or the widows lower. A very nice looking car.

Best decision yet

I was totally unsure of the Sonata when I first saw it. I started car shopping and the very first car that I liked was a very pretty red 2014 Hyundai Sonata. I thought that I could do better so I shopped around and shop around and shop around, it became very tiring. After all the cars I test drove and all the back and forth I went Within Myself I ended up right back at the car dealership buying the very first red Hyundai Sonata that I looked at. And it was the best decision I could have made for a vehicle. I absolutely love everything about it

Worst car I ever had and never buying Hyundai model

I feel I made a bad choice four years back buying the Hyundai Sonata. There were too many recalls in this four years and several repairs. Battery issue, brake issue, transmission issue to name a few. I have another car Honda Civic which is 10 years old and zero issues. I had to jump start my car after I came back from 7 days vacation. I had other make and model before this car and I never had any issues. There were some issues with brakes and when I wrote to customer service they asked me to take care of the issue with the dealer who sold the car. I'll never recommend my friends and family to buy any Hyundai models as its not very reliable. I feel I'm wasting my time writing feedback as these goes into a black hole and never followed. Nobody contacts and no action is taken. Customer service will simply write one sentence "Apologies for any inconvenience". I'm seriously thinking of buying a more reliable make and model buy the end of this year. I setup an appointment at Hyundai service center for Oil change and to take care of a recall. After the service was complete I left the service center and saw glovebox anchors on my dashboard. I immediately emailed them and the I received a call back after two days. The person who I email was on vacation. When I opened the glovebox all the contents fell on the car floor as the anchors were not in place. One time my car was towed due to transmission failure and Hyundai service center does not even provide a loaner car.

I am thankful that Hyundai will repair the recalls but I have never experienced a call with so many recalls since I was able to drive. It concerns me with the quality of the vehicles that Hyundai sales.

Made in China car

Since the first three months transmission skid on me they ignored it happened 2x on freeway speakers failed they denied it didn’t do anything tail lights have burned out 4 times in 2 years all of them they say nothing wrong my engine short block was replaced they told me large block would be installed then said it was on nackorder I had to get what they had available not even done paying for my ac compressor broke and they wouldn’t fix it then accepted to pay the part and I the labor car only has 75k miles and ac compressor broke they don’t take responsibility to replace it I asked to speak to a manager never have reached out to me so sad! I live in garden grove across the street all my life I wanted to buy from my local dealer big mistake !!! The hand gear in the car broke off the first year the interior paint comes off with cleaning cute car but not worth the 27k I paid brand new and it’s breakjng down like a cereal ? box car pathetic I’m angry they ignored the engine problems I was having brought it in 2 x because it stalled on the freeway they drove it said nothing wrong and they didn’t enter those visits in the system I was told by service writer so very shady to cover their tracks and put our lives at risk stay away

Overall Fantastic Midel

The windshield seems to give off air noise when traveling. I would have liked window screens like the more expensive cars and for the passenger side seat adding the cooling option like the driver side.

Hundai Sonata 2014 review

At 6'1" and 295 lbs needed large interior and large comfortable seats. Totally fits the bill on those. Good gas mileage, good acceleration - really nothing to not like about this car. Would definitely recommend to friends.
