Reliable car

This is my second Hyundai. I was first attracted to Hyundai because of the price, value and warranty. I knew I wanted a mid-size vehicle because I had two tall sons. Even though they are grown up and rarely sit in my car, I still like the size for transporting people and various items. The trunk is a good size. More than anything, I have found it to be reliable.

My sonata

I came to Fl with a dodge caravan, needed to trade it - was high pressured into another car I hated from day two. I decided to trade and went to Gettel. I told them I did not want another high pressure salesperson or I’d walk out. I settled on the sonata and I LOVE it! I love the blind spot warnings, the back up camera, the sun roof, the comfort of the car and everything about it. There are still things I haven’t figured out. I would definitely buy another Hyundai.

2014 Sonata

Hyundai stands behind their product & I have been a happy Hyundai owner for over 9 years. I first purchased a used 2006 Sonata & put 248,000 miles on it. My 2014 now has 122,000 miles on it. Great job Hyundai!

Love the Turbo on my Sonata

I enjoy driving my sonata so very much because it feels like a race car with the dual turbo. I was given a 2018 Santa Fe to drive for 3 months, and although it was elegant with every bell and whistle, I was overjoyed to receive my Sonata back as that turbo makes you get up and go!!!

I like my car

many early failures

Had to replace engine, transmission and computer before I hit 25k miles. My confidence in driving on long trips has dropped...no longer feels like I'm driving a dependable new car. I've lost my confidence in this car.

Excellent Vehicle...I would buy it again

The Sonata is an excellent sedan. I have had it for 4 years and haven't had a single problem with it. It rides well and sits comfortably. The price was reasonable as well. A minor issue is the limited view through the back window when driving. However, that is somewhat mitigated by the backup camera when you're backing up.

The car is amazing, it also drives very smooth, and the inside is wide and the car of the inside is amazing , it has everything that I need. Driving a Hyundai was the best decision I made to for my first car.

Excellent

So far this car has been a good buy for me would prefer that the front passenger seat be able to change height. That only works on driver side,my passengers are very uncomfortable. Otherwise everything else does work.

A good Basic Car

The car works very well. It is a 2014 Hyundai Sonata. Of course keeping up with the maintenance is very helpful, as well. The only thing is that sometimes it is hard for me to judge how close I am to another car when backing up, as well as the front part of car when pulling into a parking space. I believe new technology is already taking care of this in the newer cars.

Not gonna last

Bought this car new as I needed something to fill a gap in transportation that was affordable. Used the lease option. This car is now only 4 years old and showing its age. Replaced tires after only 40.000 miles, brakes 2 times now, Gas mileage was great at first but has suddenly dropped 6 miles a gallon. I need to get something different but the resale on these cars stinks. Everyone has one and seems to be selling them. Car has issues known by many but factory unwilling to step up to the plate and fix. AMERICA'S BEST WARRANTY MY A22 !

Tail light Assembley

I have been having an ongoing issue on my 2013 Hyundai Sonata limited. If you just look at 2011+ Hyundai Sonata's on the road while driving 90% of them have a tail light out! the issue is the tail light assembly where the bulb clips in is melted so the bulb will not stay in place. The bulb is constantly moving around while driving so it comes lose or blows over and over. The only proper fix for this is to change the whole tail light so I believe Hyundai needs to do something about this as if your tail lights are out you can easily meet in an accident. I have changed my bulb at least 6 times for far and I have only had the car for 6 months, its a 2013 Hyundai Sonata limited 2. 4 non turbo na. I searched several forums online and others have reported this issue or spend $300 to fix one or $00 for both. This a manufacturer defect the tail light should not be melting.

Love My Sonata!!

Before my Sonata, I was a very happy Kia owner! When my beautiful Kia Forte was totaled when I was broadsided, I was told my car prevented serious injuries. It even called 9-1-1 for me. I figured since I could not locate a Forte, just like my first, I’d try looking at Hyundais. I quickly located my current car, and bought it. All the reviews stated it was one of the highest rated for safety. Sold. My car is spacious, loaded, beautiful...and safe. When the time comes again...it’ll be another Hyundai I’ll be looking at.

Poor Electronics package

Like my car but keep on having to bring it back for electronic problems with the air conditioning defrost and compressor. Need to make better quality parts not cheap stuff that breaks after 60 to 80 thousand miles

Dependable

I bought this vehicle for its reputation as being reliable. It has been over 4 years and it has lived up to its reputation. Besides routine maintenance, typical recalls and the nail in the tire, the car has never been to a shop. I put gas in and GO! I plan to give the car to my daughter and purchase another Hyundai within the next year or two. I bragged about my car so much that my nephew recently bought an Elantra from Stockton Hyundai. I plan to give my Sonata to my daughter within the next year or two and my next car will also be a Hyundai. Excellent buy!

Love my car

I love my car it’s roomy rides smooth I love the back up camera the speakers on the car are amazing so much room in the trunk the seats also go down to give the trunk extra room and length . No more forgetting not to lock the doors on my car the car locks it’s doors automatically as soon as I turn on the car and start driving I know I will never be carjacked that’s a great feeling .

The Warranty isn't good, and this car was built poorly

I bought a 2014 Hyundai Sonata brand new, at 43000 miles the drive belt was breaking and it wasn't covered then before 40000 miles a flap in the dash had to be replaced. Now my car rumbles and has went dead on me a few times when I cut the AC on and no one knows why. The quality of this vehicle is trash and this is my 3rd sonata and the 1st new one I buy has given me the most problems.....it's wrong and sad that you invest in a car and it's not at all like they "claimed" when you bought it.
