2015 Sonata

Love my car, but hate the air conditioning system- it's useless if your in the back seat. I wanted the navigation system but the yearly fee is rediculous unless you have the option to start the engine remotely which I do not, so I'll stick to my phone. Also my window always slips a bit down on its own and the dealership can't fix it, they just keep adding oil to it. Also something ruined part of my paint, not sure why and not covered even though it was only a few months old.

Transmission problems on new car

I loved the car to start. But as soon as I had it for 1 year after purchasing brand new...the transmission slipped. Inhad it repaired...then it slipped again...had it repaired now its slipping again. Grrst warranty but no one should have tonhave this issue with a new car. I wouldnt buy another hyundai due tonthe safety factor of this issue. But aside from that aesthetics are nice.

Faulty double clutch transmissions

My 2015 Sonata ECO had the transmission go out after 18,000 miles. They replaced it and 19,000 miles later, it is going out again. Slipping. They are aware of this problem with their double clutch transmission, yet Henderson Hyundai tries to act like nothing is wrong with it? This is frustrating and Hyundai already has a class action lawsuit against them for their transmissions, yet the dealership acts like it is unknown to them? Now, ABC Hyundai has been great to me and I hope that they will help me to get this problem solved, but I do not want to have to keep coming back to Hyundai every 19,000 miles and replace an obviously flawed design?

2015 vs. 2018 Sonata

I recently traded in my 2015 sonata sport 2.0T in for the exact same one but a newer 2018 model. Sadley it seems like Hyundai took away some features that really attracted me to the car in the first place. Theses things are No Hid lighting, No lighted door handles, No LED brake lights, No rear climate control, No full leather seats and lastly very sluggish on the take off (acceleration). Now I wish I never traded my 2015 in for a 2018. I feel like I got cheated. Hyundai you disappointed me!

Horribly uncomfortable seats!

I bought this second Sonata based on good experience with my first one. Unfortunately, I can barely drive for very long periods because these seats are so uncomfortable they hurt my legs. They are very hard and the awful up-angled sides cut into my legs with significant pressure. Yuck. I look forward to getting rid of this car.

NICE BUT NO CIGAR

SONATA IS OK, BUT I'VE OWNED, NISAN, TOYOTA, FORD. ALL BETTER. DRIVER SEAT HURTS MY BACK AND HAS NO LUMBAR SUPPORT. AM RADIO STINKS!! This is my 3rd and last Hyundai.

Loved Hyundai all these years. Last purchase a Hyundai sonata was a bummer. How could a Squeaky roof be normal- when I took back my car they said it was normal to this model year and not a safety hazard.

Hyundai Sonata 2015

My Hyundai Sonata sucks. The engine locked up- The warranty would not cover the engine replacement- I had to pay for engine out of pocket and the engine was not even new that was put in to replace the previous engine and the dealership- Hyundai Mungenast ( which in now Napleton Hyundai) put in the replacement engine. What happen was I did not follow the services recommendations to a"T" therefore the warranty was not covered. One mistake was I did some of the oil changes myself and had my son do one or two but because I could not provide the service report( there would be none for personal oil changes) they denied my claim, even though I wrote down the approximate date and mileage. I also turned the service reports for the time the oil was changed by a professional entity, ie Rapid lube. Hyundai may have an excellent warranty for their vehicles but If you do not follow to a "T: your claim will likely be denied. I would never by another Hyundai again. I do not recommend buying a Hyundai to anyone. The vehicle is cheaply made and they do not stand behind their customers and the warranty. Why do you think they are Napleton Hyundai instead of Mungenast Hyundai- Too many complains and unsatisfied patrons.

Not reliable

My 2014-2015 Hyundai Sonata sport it's not as reliable as they make it sound on commercials. Maybe because I purchased it as a certified pre-owned vehicle, it has several recalls most of which I believe are now clear, but I've had to have the car and service for over 3 weeks and bring it in once or twice a week regarding a malfunction check engine light stating emissions vapor code. I even needed a replacement engine block under 50000 miles. The service is good when you have your platinum warranty, but I would love for Hyundai to build in Korea and ship to America and maybe those cars will last a lot longer.

Smooth Lemon

As much as I love to drive my Sonata Limited I have had numerous problems with the car. 78K the engine seized up. The car has been in the shop for a total of 6 weeks just for a sunroof noise that won't go away even after the entire roof has been replaced. I have a laundry list of other repairs I have had to deal with. NO I would not recommend a Hyundai to anyone after dealing with the manufacture. They are slow to respond to any concerns. I had to start a lemon law process before they would attempt to fix my sunroof problem.

Left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing what is going on

I made an online appointment to have an oil change and in my monthly vehicle report there was a bulletin to have a vibration sensor installed for the block and instrument cluster update which is a safety issue so i made the app online.When I went to the dealer for service Amber said they don't know anything about the safety update so somebody some where does not know what they are doing.I am very disappointed with Hyundai with the engine recall.

I didn't purchase my vehicle from Waikem, had I, my experience would have been great. The Sontana was a used, and I believe it had issues from the time I bought it. now it will cost me over two thousand dollars.

Crap on wheels

I thought that when I bought this car it would be worth it. Apparently, it isn't. After only a little over three years of ownership, and around 50,000 miles, the engine decided to cease on me. On the freeway. At 70 miles an hour. Not cool. Even though Hyundai fixed it because it was under warranty, the thought or idea of this happening again it's not something I want to deal with, ever again.

Wish it didn’t break often

Had the engine replaced in under 55k miles and just had the transmission rebuilt at 75k. Feel like things are breaking way too early. It drives ok and gets good gas mileage but other than that I wouldn’t buy another

Burning engine oil and antenna cover came off

My 2015 Sonata started to have oil consumption problems after 75K miles. The radio antenna also came off in a wind storm and Hyundai doesn’t make just a replacement for this. You have to replace the whole antenna. Seems as though this car is beginning to fall apart. Unlikely to ever purchase another Hyundai car after this experience.

The limited 2015 fully loaded.

The inside is Incredible! the outside is eye catching....but that 2.4L stay away from, worst Hyundai engine ever made, if you follow the 7500 mile oil interval changes your engine will knock...that's guaranteed cause that engine eats oil much faster than it should. If you do have one of these do every 3000 mile oil changes, or if you want to do 7500 make sure to top it off at 3000 miles, then at 4000 then at 5000 so on and so on, and you should be good that way.
