Nice Vehicle but I don't recommend purchase
There are many features of this vehicle that I like however, overall I am very unhappy with the vehicle due to continual transmission issues that the Hyundai dealers indicates is "just part of the design" and can not be repaired. I am referring to the roughness of the transmission during slow speeds in heavy stop and go traffic that I have to endure everyday during my commute.
At low speeds and while constantly speeding up and slowing down in heavy bumper-to-bumper traffic the vehicle "bucks" up and down and back and forth. The transmission can't seem to find the correct gear to use and shifts back and forth creating this unwanted motion. This is the first automatic transmission vehicle that I have ever owned that does this. Just like a new driver with a manual transmission that pops the clutch at the wrong time. It is the most unwanted and aggravating motion and turns what could be a very nice driving vehicle into a very unpleasant experience.
I have purchased Hyundai's exclusively over the last 16 years and this is the first one that I really can't stand. I wish Hyundai would either fix this vehicles issue or buy it back, I dislike it that much. On the other hand I have had Hyundai's that were some of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Buyer beware before choosing this one.
On the other hand the gas mileage is terrific (average 38mpg) the vehicle looks great and the interior is very comfortable. The engine is good, very low noise levels in the vehicle at highway speeds, nice stereo and blue tooth integrated telephone, hands free features are nice. Too bad about the transmission being such a pile of junk.
