2016 Hyundai Sonata Limited

I love my 2016 Hyundai Sonata Limited, but I have had one minor issue with it... Unfortunately, the water pump did go out much sooner than it should have, or so I was told. I have only put about 12,000 miles on it. Thankfully, I had a great dealership nearby to fix the issue under warranty. Other than that one small issue, I have found this car to be a great investment, and I would most definitely recommend this model to a friend.

New Sonata

Overall a very nicely finished and appointed car. With only 5,000 miles it's too early for a reliability rating but it is expected to be very good. Only complaint is the severe buffeting if a rear window is opened at speed but that could apply to any car with the same body style.

Overall great value

I am extremely pleased with my 2016 Sonata Limited. It has all the amenities I was looking for at a great price. The dealer was very helpful. My only criticism is that in Eco or Normal drive, the transmission seems to shift gears too quickly, particularly at low speeds, which feels like the engine is lugging. I usually downshift with the accelerator to overcome this.

THE GOLF SPORTWAGON WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE

THE GOLF SPORTWAGON (SMALLER/EASIER TO SEE OUT OF/ROOF RACK SYSTEM/TOWING CAPABILITY) WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE IF I HAD MORE TIME TO SELECT A REPACEMENT AUTO. THE SONATA WAS A GOOD SAFE QUICK CHOICE AFTER OUR SUBARU BLEW A HEADGASKET!

Good Average Car

Overall the car is good value for the features and the price. I have a Limited Model Sonata. Owned it about 5 months and have had a few issues already. Sunroof Wind Gaurd came off, so had to get it fixed. Also had issues with Sunroof weather stripping, had to replace. Lastly tires on the car, all 4 do not keep pressure. They start at 36-38 and within 60 days they have 28 and cause warning light to go off. Dealer checked and no external objects, not good.

Sonata 2016 Limited...that's the Version I have and I am satisfied with my purchase. Never had any real issues to throw any red flags, but I did have a scare with my check engine light coming on. When I took it in to be looked at I was told it was something to do with my airflow to my engine. Sorry I don't have the full details, but the issue was taking care immediately. Overall I love my car and I turn heads everywhere I go and get that famous question "what kind of car is that".

An unfatmonable destruction of the previous Sonata styling.

We leased the 2011, then the 2013, and now the 2016 Sonata..The dependability of the car is excellent..All 3 cars have been reliable, and luckily for us, no serious issues. Why the Hyuandai design team destroyed the great styling of the previous models with the box-like styling of the 2016 is a mystery..(Unless Hyundai employed blind engineers)..A tragic mistake Hyundai !!!

Missing some features

I am missing some features I had on my 2012 Sonata. Like unlocking the door or starting the car without having to have the key in my hand. People who ride in my back seat miss the rear AC vents. Guess I am spoiled. Other than that, I love the car. Wish I knew what the "sport" option does.

Nice Car

Had car for about 6 months. Only thing I would change is the amount of heat to your feet in winter. Most of the heat goes to windshield or you can change to dash vents & floor. But very little goes to floor. Mirrors on this model need to be able to fold in automatically. Also need to be able to adjust headlight delay when leaving car. Storage compartment under radio could be larger for more convenient storage of cd's. Difficult to reach center console box. Needs about 1-2 inches more ground clearance in front so cowling does not hit parking bumpers and curbs.
