Nice looking vehicle but appears to have issues early in its life

Purchased brand new with only 10 miles on the odometer. At about 42k... had to replace hubs/bearings (under warranty) but still had to be replaced none-the-less. Experiencing a rattle when accelerating uphill or in a turn from a full stop. Dealership or others I have spoken with have not been able to pin down the location of the rattle but appears to be coming from the driver side rear of the vehicle. Suspect either exhaust or axle possibly. Regardless, I don't believe that a new vehicle should be having these type of issues at such a low mileage and with on-time and regular scheduled services. Aside from the aforementioned, no other issues as of yet.

Uncomfortable to drive

The floor mounted pedal is awkward and requires too much force to operate. In addition, the seats are hard. I feel pain and discomfort when I drive this vehicle.

Don't Buy An Eco

This car looks nice on the outside, but the acceleration is terrible, and the interior cannot withstand any level of real life. This car seems to get good gas mileage, but it is at the cost of driveability. Do not buy an ECO.

Problems

The only problem or problems I have is that you pay so much for the car and you get poor quality of material (leather seats)the material should be better on the inside and out I have purchase 3 cars from Hyundai I guess with each time hoping it would get better well that was crazy on my part but I can only speak for myself. After only a year of having my car with regular service checks done at the dealer my car stills give me that hesitation that coming from the engine as if it doesn't want to go or cut off

Poor Front End Design

My Sonata looked good at first, but now that the front bumper is torn due to a massive design flaw that positions the front bumper so low it catches on the top of a standard concrete stopper at the end of a parking spot, it looks terrible driving around town with the bumper hanging off the front. It is reasonably roomy inside and a comfortable ride, but it seems to be cheaply made. With the horrible design flaw of the front bumper, I would NOT recommend this car to anyone else and won't be buying another one.

A nice car for the price, but the engine noise is beyond acceptable for a NEW vehicle, regardless of being an inexpensive sedan! The dealership states the noisy motor is within their acceptable noise limits. My 300K mile 2008 Chevy HHR 4cyl is quieter than my NEW 2016 Hyundai Sonata SE 4cyl, what gives? I call it a new sewing machine cause that's what is sounds like. Other than the noisy motor, I think the car is quite worth the money with its standard equipment. I did choose the Sonata over the Impala, mainly due to the price difference.

Good until the m

I like the performance when driving. I serviced my vehicle regularly as required. The thing I don't like about it was the odor from the filter system. I am not very pleased with the service I have been receiving with the dealership.

Fuel Economy 15-20% below EPA

After endless adding the low MPG on EVERY SERVICE TICKET, and Hyundai Consumer Affairs NOT WILLING to address the issue, what recourse am I left with - Lemon Law Lawsuit? It's a shame, because everything else on the Sonata is great.

2016 sonata sport

Very comfortable drive reliable have not had many problems only conducting maintenance as needed with the vehicle. Great on gas mileage. One of the biggest things is burning oil that has been happening since I bought the car brand new and when taking it to service they claim it’s normal.

Not what i expected

I am very dissatisfied with the purchase of the 2016 Hyundai Sonata. I got issues with the car from the very beginning...engine light comes on, lack of speed, stalling in the middle of the road...then i try to explain what's wrong with the car but can not never be duplicated at the dealer...will not recommend a Hyundai ever again.

If you care about reliability and resale value look elsewhere!

Very disappointed in the issues with this car and it eats tires and brakes.My sound for the stereo,blue tooth and navigation system works most of the time and now it fails to start occasionally. I would trade it in but value plummets faster than a speeding train!

Defective Paint

Defective paint that is slowly but surly peeling off. My hood looks awful. And Hyundai will not fix it. It’s pretty sad when you pay of $20,000 for a brand new car, and you get defective paint. More than likely won’t by Hyundai again.

very nice car however there is an engine bearing premature wear problem w ith motor hyundai put sensor to detect early engine knocking puts car in limp mode,the sensor they put on was defective, unnessarally putting car in limp mode

Very poor quality car

The way they built this car is with very poor quality. The paint is pealing on the roof of the car and the trunk is filling with water and the Dealer can’t help me to solve these issues. I am still waiting for answers from the Dealer before I take further action.

Acceleration Problem

This car has had an acceleration problem since its 2 week, unfortunately Hyundai dealerships cant find it. This is my 4th Hyundai, the Eco is the worse car I've ever owned. Hyundai will not admit this car has a problem

Lots of issues

There have been a lot of electrical issues with this car and I have had steady problems with it since I got it. Ontop of that when I bring it to Hyundai they are less than helpful and never care to help you.

This is what they mean by looks aren’t everything!

This car looks good and is comfortable until it’s terrifying! For two years I’ve had nothing but issues with the exterior parts of the engine. Multiple times a month and year hung without a vehicle. Local dealership doesn’t listen to me because I’m a single female. Can’t sell it either because of all the issues . Cannot get a local rep to return my calls and corporate just plays a game of pass the buck. I’ll never purchase another Hyundai again !
