This is our third Sonata (12, 15 and 16) We have been very please with all of them with the only exception being the GPS which never seemed to be up to date even when purchased on all three. We intend to continue buying Sonatas.

So far, so good.

4k miles so far. It's quiet, handles fairly well, and the gas mileage is great. General highway average has been between 37 and 40 and there's some hill climbing on my commute to and from the mountains on the weekends. Complaints? I'm not so sure my back is going to survive the seat long term. I bought a base model and there's no adjustment for lower back support. Sometimes Pandora won't connect but that might be the phone. There's a weird harmonic at about 68 miles per hour coming from the tires. It's not unpleasant but it's there...like the car is singing to you. It would be nice if there were some tie down hooks up towards the back seats in the trunk.

Performance Exceeds Expectations after 3,000 Miles

I am a Honda convert to Hyundai. I had driven the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry. I am retired and was looking for a reasonably priced mid-sized sedan with a nice smooth ride, comfortable seats, and suitable electronic accessories. .The ride us very smooth. The appointment of the material and construction in the cabin of the car is excellent. The 4-cylinder engine is quiet and has plenty of zip for road driving. At this point, I have nothing but praise for the performance of my Sonata Limited. It has all the bells and whistles that I was looking for. I am now not surprised at all that Consumer Reports place it in the top 5 for mid sized sedans.

My 2nd Sonata

I really like the Sonata. There's very little I'd change. I would have liked the option to have the LED taillights on the Sport model. I had a 2015 and got into an accident and it was totaled. I went back and got a 2016 but the same package I had on the 1st Sport wasn't available. I basically lost the dual zone climate control, backup cross traffic sensor and blind spot sensors...and the auto down feature for both front windows (only have it for the driver...not sure why there was a need to change that). Lastly, there's a wonderful pair of LED lights in the front area of the vehicle but a regular dim looking light in the back. How does that make sense at all. I inquired about a replacement and the parts department at the dealership said they didn't know of any such replacement lamp.

Smaller than the 2015

The electronics and backup camera are better than the 2015 model. But it's not as comfortable or as roomy . The steering pulls real bad when in sport mode. I feel like I downgraded. I still love it. But sort of feel like I may have got a lemon.

I am new owner of a 2016 Sonata, we purchased a couple months ago. We have really enjoyed the comfort and ride of the vehicle. Drives and handles very well, I like the features of selecting Eco or Sport Driving Mode, and all the other accessories that come standard. We took the vehicle for its first service and oil change. The service dept. great and fast, just under an hour. The staff was great, Oh I did stop by an said hello to Harry, our sales associate. He was a pleasure to deal with, THANKS
