Great car with tons of space and awesome features.
Overall the car is amazing. Fun to drive, tons of tech in the limited 2.0t with useful safety features. As a techy kind of person I love all the features built into the car like the wireless charging and the LKAS, active cruise control, and bluelink remote control. Using bluelink to remote start the vehicle in the winter is awesome and the ability to turn on the heated steering wheel and climate control remotely from a phone makes it that much better than any key fob remote start I've seen. I like that the vehicle monitors its own health and diagnostics and sends the info to blue link. I wish there was an option to view more detailed info through the head unit about the vehicle so that way I could diagnose problems and such on my own. Overall the head unit is awesome and responsive and works well with android auto. Car drives and handles well, took me a little bit to get used to the electronic steering because it takes a little bit more force than I was used to with conventional power steering cars. The drive mode options are great for how you want to enjoy your drive. The change in pedal response between the modes is nice, I wish the engine didn't lug as much in eco mode however. I mostly drive highway (about 12 mi one way to work and more some days when picking up siblings from school) and the fuel efficiency is towards the low end of the spectrum even if I drive on eco and really baby it and theres not too much traffic. I average around 22-23 mpg. Now I do wait in traffic a lot on the highway and in the city so it sort of makes sense but I was expecting a bit more out of an 8 speed transmission. However on a long drive (80 miles) with no traffic and cruising at 70mph I was able to get 33 mpg but in most of my daily driving I suffer at the city mpg rate which isn't too bad. I'm ok with taking the hit to mpg for the fun drive as this car can haul off a stop. Now to talk about some other features. Interior has a TON of space for people up front to have their seats back and still have leg room for people in the back seat. The rear window shades are convenient and the memory drivers seat is great because it also saves mirror positions and is great if someone ever adjusts your seat and such you just click a button and its ready for you again. Some "complaints" I have would be that I wish the LKAS could have more ability to turn the wheel, on some turns it might start engaged and if its too sharp will disengage but it still detects the lanes. Autonomous emergency braking also work well and has saved me a couple times where I would notice a vehicle slammed on the brakes and I would begin to rapidly break and then the system would take over and really add that extra brake pressure to make sure I didn't collide. The warnings are also pretty accurate. It wont warn if it notices you slowing down with enough brake pressure but will give you the alert when the math comes out to be that you might collide. The theta 2 engine doesn't have an amazing reputation so I do my oil changes often at 3000 mi intervals with synthetic in hopes that the engine will live longer. However I'm not worried with the 10 yr 100k mi powertrain warranty and the 5yr 60k mi bumper to bumper. Pearson Hyundai also extended the warranty to 20yr 200k powertrain and 10yr 100k bumper to bumper. Overall I love the design and look of the car and its features.
