Do not buy from ABC Hyundai

Purchased car from ABC Hyundai in Las Vegas. Called and spoke with new car manager and was given a price on a "specific" Sonata in on their web site. I asked if they had "that car" on their lot. 30 minutes later I arrived to buy "that car". The manager tried to inflate the price he quoted 30 minutes prior. I purchased the car and during my walk around inspection prior to taking possession I noticed a "door ding" on the car. I was told "no problem it will be fixed no charge". a year later and countless text messages to JR Casino my salesman I have yet to have the ding repaired. I have been told he needs to talk to his manager several times. I now live in Ohio. Days after purchase I noticed the VIN numbers did not match the car I was told I was getting. I'm sure there were additional options on the car in the ad and once I refused to pay the additional amount 30 minutes later after arriving on the car lot they decided to simply give me a lesser car instead. In my opinion,these people are criminal and liars. I noticed an intermittent starting issue that got noticeably worse once I relocated to Ohio. 5 attempts and 30 days to repair these problems. I found the staff at Marhoffer Hyundai to be friendly and fairly helpful despite the repeated attempts to repair. I would like to be contacted regarding these issues and feel at the very least to have my door repaired at no cost.

Sometimes doesn't start and leaves me stranded

The car looks nice and drives well, when it feels like starting. It regularly doesn't start and has left me stranded more than once. I've taken it in for servicing 3 times, and every time they incompetently repaired it. I doubt they even bothered to reproduce the issue before slapping a new part in and calling it 'fixed'. If I had the choice of buying a Hyundai again, I'd rather just walk everywhere. At least that way when I get to where I'm going, I won't have to worry about towing a car away.

It shut off in the middle of driving

The high voltage connector for the Hybrid battery came unplugged while driving. I was told it happened on my last service. I never had a service with the car it was brand new off the lot. Love the car it drives smooth. 3000 miles we shouldn't have to worry about breaking down on the side of the road. As much as I like the car every time, I drive it I hope I can get home

Wife was stranded when car would not start.

Check engine lite came on and showed the car was overheating. The car had less than 2000 miles on it. The next day car was back to normal. Two weeks ago the car quit and would not start. Sold it !!!!!!

Engines are failing after 18k miles

After 18k miles the engine EGR or air flow fails to operate correctly. This happened to me on the highway back to back with other cars on the road causing high and low rpm’s . Your car will accelerate and decelerate with a very hash feel. Took it in for repair and was told “we’ve never seen these errors codes before” this just made me feel the “fix” wouldn’t be a perfect fix and I was right returned my car in 4 days . Now I’m waiting all over again.

First new vehicle I ever traded in with 10k miles on it

I purchased the new Sonata and after 100 miles knew there was an issue. The forward collision avoidance would register bridge rails and traffic in the other lane as a collision. It would break hard. We took it into the dealership twice and no resolution. The safety features are off and not adjusted correctly. The dealership admitted it was an issue and I was the third person that had come in for the same issue that month. I took it to the dodge dealership and traded it in.

Disappointed

I have purchased multiple vehicles from Hyundai but this last one was terrible. It completely shut down while I was driving and would not restart. It had 2900 miles on it.....dealership and Hyundai itself has treated me with either contempt or indifference. This has been a terrible experience so far and looks like it will continue. Don't get me started on the dealership.....it's laughable.

Electric problems do not buy

Nice car but a lot of issues no company follow up dealerships is clueless alot of unknow about this car faulty electrical work. Not so roomy interio waste of time go with a Honda or somthing eles that is reliable

Poor quality

Poor vehicle quality and performance. Concerned about long term durability. Dealership service experience is horrible they don’t take the time to properly diagnose issues and/or they are incompetent because they can’t fix issues.

Not happy

Wish I had bought another Toyota Camry, or Mercedes s class, or Audi Q8, I am not use to this type of customer service that I receive from Hyundai, car broker for over 3 months they cant seem to fix it, no loaner car, still have to pay the lease, dealer lies about parts on order etc, waste of time

Get a KIA

The vehicle could run a lot better, and Hyundai could have better service workers. There are a few kias that you could get as an alternate instead of Hyundai. The Stinger has a lot of great features. This is my last Hyundai.

Quality and warranty are terrible

We've had nothing put problems with this car since purchase. What makes these matters worse is that the dealership and Hyundai customer support deny claims clearly presented. Hyundai won't stand behind their warranty.

My ac hasn’t worked in a year and you guys have given me the run around. The dealerships never have any availability for weeks and when you do get a chance to bring it in they tell you the part is on back order. I’ve never had to deal with so many recalls and I have already owned 4 brand new vehicles . It’s a great disappointment since this is the first time I’ve spent a substantial amount on a vehicle.

A headache

Please don’t get this car. If you have to drive somewhere and it’s raining, prepare for your under carriage to fall apart. Use a crowbar, because your car can start with a USB port and the dealership won’t support you for months.

i lease and will be leaving Hyundai after 25 yrs. of owning them. also your really cant be wanting customer survey demanding some tell more without you giving a better product. this must be required from a settlement thq atyu must be require to do

no power, poor riding experience, not comfortable ride, too low to the road, you can hear everything on the road. the car will not hold value base on its performance. only because of demand is why this car will be sold. this car for the price was a horrible purchase.

Most Hyundai dealers would not honor warranty

21 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Car had less than 28,000 miles when a leak developed on back of radiator in engine compartment. 2 Hyundai dealerships wouldn't honor warranty. 3rd dealership did but messed up repairs. A total of about 45 days all told before I got my car back in running condition. Lodged complaint with Hyundai Warranty complaint department. They were useless and hard to deal with. They wasted so much of my time.

Hyundai Sonata 2021

Car is cool. Cant enjoy because of all the bull from dealership group. I have bought several cars and never seen this at any dealership. Lesson learned. Smh, I just wanted a smooth deal not a bunch of mess.
