Finally, I found a car!
After having the same car for nearly 20 years we needed a new one badly. But cars have just changed so much. Most don’t have regular transmissions or they have two soft of a ride or two sporty of a ride. Most vehicles are too far off the ground which adds to my issues of car sickness, as do CVT transmissions that give me a feeling of floating. After buying five cars and having to resell each, , including one brand new Honda Civic that we had to sell after three months and lost $5000. We were about to give up. Sonata was not on our radar because we were trying to mimic the wheelbase of our old car for the ride that I was needing and every other car that had that longer wheelbase like the Toyota Camry or the Honda Accord just rode too soft and floated because of their CVT transmissions. We kept trying every new car that we could think of to the point where car salesman would take an early lunch to avoid us…lol I think it takes a lot to scare off a car salesman, but after the first few minutes in the car, I felt right at home. We were kind of in shock so we had to go home and evaluate the test drive and went back the next day and bought it and I’ve done very well since then. She has some of the other features that were extremely important to me was that my passenger seat had a pump to raise it up. It’s pathetic that every other vehicle does not have that in all models. I am short wasted, and for example, in the Accord, I couldn’t even see over the dash. And the second thing which was extremely important to me was the color options for the interior. There was a light interior available, but also had a light headliner that also had a gray dash.. I am so sick of all this all black stuff which just sucks all the light out of the interior of the car, giving you a odd sensation of disconnect from the outside. But the thing that amazed me the most was that it had a good clear, undistorted windshield. What is it with car’s glass these days? Everything either has waves in it or magnification. Some give you a distortion of the road lines coming in at you in your field of vision. In most cases I would be carsick before I got a block from the dealership. There’s no distortion in this windshield.
