Great car, but body design flaws

My 2012 Prius still runs the way it did when I bought it, after 86K miles, and the gas mileage is spectacular (usually 50 mpg or better), but I wish the body design were better. The main battery that runs the engine is great, but the small battery that opens doors, starts the car, and other essential features is in the hatchback under a lid--and the manual key won't open anything but the driver's door, so if that little battery is dead, big trouble!

We love our Prius

This has been my favorite car that I've ever owned. The navigation, adaptive cruise control, and so many other extras are so much appreciated. The best part is that I can drive to visit my grandkids whenever I want without paying a fortune for gas. We average almost 50 mpg. There is lots of room to haul things even though it looks small and sporty. We recently put a hope chest, a full sized crib, a large oil painting, and a dresser with a mirror, as well as 2 small carry on suitcases in the car with 2 people simultaneously! I was amazed that my husband and son in law fit it all in.

2012 Prius Plug in Hybrid

I bought my 2012 Prius Hybrid Plug in used . Quite possibly the best car I have ever owned. Gas mileage is excellent 38- 99 mpg depending on driving traffic. Averaging about 54 mpg per tank of gas . A fun car to drive .

PRIUS! Where most of the people Never Go.

The Prius we bought was 3 years old but you would never know it. 26k miles on it and it drove like new. Looked good, felt good, value in motion I would say.

toyota prius

I love my Prius. I love the gas mileage. I love the fact that the back seat folds down to let my 3 dogs travel with me. I find it comfortable but my husband does not. Not good visibility on right side when changing lanes. I would still buy one again.

It works for me

I only get 15 to 17 miles of electrical use, but since it is only 7 miles round trip to work, I can also go to 1 or 2 stores after work and still run on electric. I only need to gas up once a month. It works for me. I can drive to Portland and back on 1 tank of gas. I like that too.

what an incredible vehicle. when I give others a ride, they comment how much room there is inside. I am also impressed by the power and smoothness of shifting.

Economic

I have a pearl white dark tints on black wheels. I have been surprise with the amount of compliments received. I purchased it with the intentions of a work week commute vehicle. I find myself driving it on weekends its a comfortable reliable vehicle.

Lovely car. Great MPG. Poor ride.

I love this little car. Even with it’s tiny little tires, it really hugs the corners. Can you complain about an HONEST 50 MPG average? I’m only 5’8” tall so it fits me like a glove. My has most options: leather, sunroof, rear camera, JBL sound, etc. so it has nearly everything I would want. With that said, it drives ROUGH over bumpy roads...which we have a ton of here in San Diego. It also rattles on the roads here. On freeways and in other cities with smooth surface streets (which is about all cities other than San Diego), it’s wonderful and I highly recommend it.

My Toyota Prius

I purchased a 2012 Prius toward the end of 2016. I knew Toyota makes good vehicles, and I wanted to save money on gas and repairs and have a vehicle that will last until I got tired of it. I like this car very much! There is plenty of room for 5 people, plenty of trunk space for all kinds of stuff, very comfortable to drive, and very well made, of course. The only draw would be the fact that going uphill makes it use a LOT of gas.

Never buy again

I will never buy this vehicle again you don't even come close to the milage stated in your add I should check if there is a class action lawsuit cause I would jump on it the vehicle is not worth 28000 dollars and I would never buy one again. Overall the car drives good it seems like it always needs something done to the vehicle at every service so I'm getting tired of all the money going out. I sold my 2012 camry hybrid xle for the same reasons. Hybrid never again. I'm thinking of getting away from Toyota now I have one since 1998 but my relationship between me and the Toyota has gone downhill.

2012 prius - greatest

I love the car. Dependable, great gas mileage, roomy interior. Love, love, love the fact you can't lock the key in the car. I try so often but it just won't let me. Great feature.

2012 prius

Our prius has performed nearly flawlessly for the 50,000 miles we've put on it. our single-most complaint is the fact that it gets about 20% less mileage in the winter when we are forced to buy the blended fuel. this may have influenced our purchase had we known the mileage would be that effected. please design future prius with a more conventional bend and give a more sporting thought to the overall design.
