I like my ford escape. Plenty of room for the two of us. Better gas mileage than a big truck. Comfortable ride.

Satisfied second time around....

Has been issue free and still rides quite. For our needs has been right vehicle for us. This is our second Escape, our first a 2005 is still going!

Ford Escape 2010

This vehicle has been nothing but reliable and safe despite all the recall notices I have received, this vehicle has not given me anything but top performance all I have had to do is replace tires and do the maintenance on it like oil changes and a recent transmission oil change which is normal maintenance.

My Ford Escape

I own a 2010 Ford Escape V6 AWD. I purchased it new and now have 116,016 miles on it. It has served me well. My original tires lasted to 120,00 miles. I believe that it is due to regular appointments at Great American Tire in Lindenhurst. When I am unable to change my oil GAT has done that work for me. I only had one problem with this car. The left axle bushing went bad and GAT changed the axle and bushings. They had knowledge that changing the seal would not correct the problem. This vehicle should last me another 100,000 miles if it is maintained correctly. That is my prayer. I like my Ford Escape. It has served me well. I keep it maintained and those jobs that I can’t do I take it to my friends at GAT. This vehicle is a workhorse that operates well in all weather conditions. The only other problem that I had was a bad water pump that GAT changed

We love this vehicle. However it looks like Ford might be sticking it to me with an air-conditioning issue.

A good SUV for the money

My Escape is 5 years old now with over 100k miles on it. Other than normal service items (tires/brakes/fluid changes) it has held up fairly well. MPG has been consistent at 25 city, 30 highway for the entire time. There are a few items which could have been better. The engine transmission combo was not the best. The engine developed a knocking sound at 38k, which according to you-tube videos is possibly a crack in the block. The idle has never been smooth since I bought it. The transmission is a 6 speed, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd are not geared correctly. The tranny drops down into 1st at anything under 20 MPH and going from forward to reverse sometime ends up in a hung change followed by a slamming into reverse. The tranny requires fluid changes every 20k - too much maintenance. The rear hatch release gave up the ghost at 80k. Other than that - it still runs, no leaks, and hauls a goodly amount of stuff for a small SUV.

2010 Ford Escape

I love this 2010 4 wheel drive SUV. The only thing this year model was missing is the back up camera. I wanted to trade it in to a 2014 and was VERY disappointed in the new body style that looks like every other model on the road and they took the roominess out of it. I feel closed in in the newer years so I will not be purchasing another Ford Escape :( On the search for a new SUV with all the amenities of my 2010 Ford but with the back up camera plus whatever.
