This is my third Ford SUV

I’ve had a 2000 Mountaineer 297,000 miles / 2008 Explorer 275,000 miles / 2017 Explorer 65,000 miles . I have gotten great miles out of all of these SUV’s . I am brand loyal . I have a 2009 45th Anniversary Mustang GT and a 2007 F150 4x4 . I love my Fords . Buy American ?? !!!

Travel Ready

Went to RRAC with concerns about my engine light. My concerns were layed to rest, when “ The Master “ put his approval on it. Thank you sir. I’m sending a tip to those of you searching for a great team of specialist to care for your vehicle, come to RRAC, your vehicle will appreciate you for it. Just like me and many others, upon your departure your car will be running right.

2017 Ford Explorer

My Ford Explorer is very comfortable and roomy for its size. I am a little concerned about the quality of the tires that came with the car. They were Korean made and I needed to replace a tire after only 3-4 months of owning the vehicle. I ran over something and it could not be repaired. There was hardly any tread on these manufacturer's tires, so my husband replaced all my tires with a better-tread tire. We also have some loping and missing when we first take off. The dealer can't locate the problem, so for now I am living with it. Not happy, but those are the only issues. Everything else on the vehicle is top notch.

what a deal

I have had 2 Explorers, one was a 2014, and now the 2017. I have issue over issue with the car, maybe not so much the car but the Ford Company. I bought the car in July, and wanted after market items on the car. Well after they put some on, found blemishes in the paint, they put the after market right over the top, then they repainted my car, got it back and found my bumper was scratched side and back. I brought it back and then they said it would take 3 weeks to get a new bumper, I was mad and went and got my car, we looked and it was replaced, nobody even knew it. They lost my keys, found them the next day on the mechanics tool box. My car does not shift right when it is chilly out. My luggage rack broke within a few weeks, they ordered a new one and that took 3 weeks to get. They even called me and told me it was in and then they called and said that it was not in. I gave up on Ford. I will have to find a new Dealership and a new Car Company.

2017 Ford Explorer

There are many good features on my 2017 Ford Explorer, but the view through the back window is not as good as older years, the driver’s foot room is also not as good. Saying that it is still a good vehicle.

2017 Ford Explorer

Water pump located deep in the engine compartment, necessitating more time therefore higher cost to access. Repair tech advised this was an unusual design & could not account for the logic in placing the water pump so inaccessible underneath so many other engine parts that would have to be taken out & replaced.

Serves its purpose

Our 2017 Explorer definitely does everything we expected it to do from AWD, to tech features, to being able to haul cargo. The 3.5 without the turbos lacks desired power, and we expected better fuel economy. The front seats are not as comfortable on long drives as we had hoped either. Overall, after driving different models, it seems we would have been happier with a higher model such as a “sport” or “limited “

Had it for about a year

It is a used car with only one other owner and I have had the best and worst times in this car. It has been so comfy and nice to drive and reliable up until recently. It is older and has a bunch of miles on it so most of it comes down to wear and tear. I have always preferred Ford but nowadays it’s getting harder to stick with and trust the brand.

Ford = problems with the car

I have this car for little over 3 years. Already I have been spending thousands on the repairs. 1st I had to change the water pump which is all the way inside the engine. Which it cost about $2500. One year after that car start shaking. One year after that car start shaking It was very hard to find the problem change the spark plugs, coils, Issues still remained. Then mechanic says it's a transmission And it was manufacturing issues something about oil. It costs me over a $1000 to fix that. I can promise you I will never buy Ford again.
