Great car

I as so satisfied with my car. I never thought I would own a luxury vehicle and then I got my genesis. It the best car ever! It’s fun to drive everyone thinks I have a Mercedes. I just love the overall.

2012 Genesis

Best vehicle I’ve ever owned and driven. My parents both own multiple Benz and I’ve driven BMW owned late model Cadillac as well. I wouldn’t think twice over choosing a Genesis above the afore mentioned brands. I hope to later purchased a G80 sport. Just test drive a Genius and it will do the rest of the convincing.

Bad 02 sensor

Check engine light on 2012 Genesis, which was bad 02 sensor. Was disappointed to hear 02 sensor is not covered by extended 8 yr./80,000 mile emissions factory warranty. Dealership found a way to handle it to my satisfaction, which was not expected.

Best car model I have ever owned

Having purchased or leased 20 different automobiles in my adult life, which includes BMW, LEXUS, ACURA and all the luxury U.S. Models; I can say without hesitation that my 2012 Genesis 3.8 liter sedan is the best car I've ever owned. Not one mechanical problem in the 6 years of ownership. The one area for improvement of this model would be to provide the driver with advance warning of a battery reaching its life expectancy.

Genesis

No emergency brake light comes on when emergency brake is on. Nothing tells you so you drive with it on and create problems with car. Front passenger seat height does not adjust. Seat is too low unless you're 6 ft tall.

I love everything about this car! It's beautiful, comfortable, responsive, fun to drive. This is my first Hyundai. I had no idea I would be so impressed. I've owned many other cars during my lifetime; this is, by far, my favorite!!

Genesis Beats Lexus and BMW

Our Genesis beats BMW and Lexus hands down. It has horsepower and torque matching our previous 2008 Lexus GS-350, but the latter lacked "road feel," and was hard to control on twisty highways, while the Genesis gives the feeling that it knows on its own where the curves are headed.. You wouldn't think the world's "ultimate driving machine" would be plagued by faulty voltage regulators and cooling system failure, but that was what we experienced with our previous BMW 528i, while our current dealer has seen to it that the Genesis never lets us down on the road, and Hyundai has consistently stood behind this vehicle in ways that go beyond stated warranty coverage.

I love the car. as far as I'm concerned the car drives and handles 2nd to none.

as I have already said I love the Genesis. Over all the best car on the road for the money. I wish I could afford a new one. The handling and the styling is superb. Also the inside of the Genesis has the comfort and has the room to be comfortable. There are no blind spots in the car, and for the money can't go wrong.

Overall Great Luxury Vehicle

Overall the 2012 Genesis has been a great car. Very fast and easy to handle. The suspension could use some work, but I believe the newer model has been upgraded. I did have to use the FABULOUS Hyundai 100k mile/10 year WARRANTY that came with the car because it was burning oil quickly for no reason. Hyundai (the warranty company) replaced my entire engine and Air Conditioner for a $50 deductible at 53,000 miles. NO other Manufacture has ever stood by their word or contract and taken care of any other vehicle I have owned, the way Hyundai has. Very happy to do business with Hyundai!

My experience in the last 5 years with this GENESIS IS EXCELLENT,I HAVE MADE SEVERAL TRIPS TO SOUTH CAROLINA, BOWLING TRIPS TO DETROIT MICH, TRIPS TOO NEW JERSEY, THIS CAR HAS NOT GIVEN ME A MOMENT OF TROUBLE, I CAN DEPEND ON IT, OF COURSE I SERVICE IT WHEN DUE AT GIAMBALVO'S THESE ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO SERVICE MY CAR .

Brake me home down country roads(with apologies to John Denver)

For 13 models of Buicks and only my first Genesis, I am pleased to report that I love my car. The seats are great on 6 and 1/2 hours of 70mph highways from Charlotte, NC to Moyock, NC. where I visited my mother-in-law who passed 2 months prior to reaching 97 years young. In 2012, I had a back up camera with mirror installed by Bob Mayberry. What a difference that back up system made. I keep getting offers to buy my car and trade up. I AM ALREADY UP. I have had 11 3.8 liter engines. All work on my Genesis is done by Bob Mayberry. I cannot wait to see the base model 2024 Genesis and it better come with a 3.8 liter engine( and maybe 90,000 mile brakes). Richard Straser

Genesis 5.0 2012

My generator went off after 65,000 miles, and the AC condenser at 70,000, lucky I had bought the extended warranty. Good handling and acceleration. Good mileage for a 5.0 V8 motor. Should make driver seat last longer and be made for wear. leather interior should be of better quality for a car of this price. Automatic mirror set up, always off spec, which is a hassle, sometimes it just moves on its own.

ALMOST PERFECT

I had been a loyal Lexus driver for almost 20 years but decided to give the Genesis a try. I like the ride, and the 4.6 engine has plenty of power. The price for this car is great for the quality you get, but the world hasn't caught on yet to the long term quality and it's reflected in the secondary market pricing. I see the Genesis as a great price for the quality you get, but think it still needs a few refinements before I put it as an equal to the Lexus 430.

I know the more I say, the better, but I still love this car!! The body lines, interior, trunk space, turning radius, gas mileage, “ get up and go,” and the quiet ride....I just can’t get myself to let it go!!!
