It's missing a few things but overall its great and fun to drive.

It doesn't have some of the features I would like. It should have a heated steering wheel which is critical in my opinion and it should have a cooled seat on the drivers side. It should also get rid of the safety feature where the cruse kicks off when you get within so many feet.

I have got to report that I had a Sonata but by far this Genesis is the best car I have had yet and trust me I have had some cars at least 11. When I traded my new one owner "ME" Sonata in for the used Genesis I thought OMG what have I done. Went to sleep upset with myself. Here we are 2 years later and my Genesis is still the best by far. I am so happy I made the trade and I receive compliments day to day about the color and the car itself how nice it looks. So I give GENESIS A FIVE STAR. Ms. Tina T

2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8L V6 RWD

Very dependable car. Completed service intervals as per the owner's manual. Love the V6 with 365 HP and have a K&N Air Filter which gives about another 15-20 HP for quick acceleration bursts. Only wished I would have bought the AWD version for superior traction.

Genesis 4.6

Absolutely the best car I've owned. Car has 41,000 miles since new and I've only change oil and had wheels balanced. Navigation is not too good because the software is not up to date even though I just had it updated with a May 2018 version. This is a 2012 Model sold in December 2012. I am keeping it forever because of the 4.6 V/8 engine. I simply like the weight to horsepower ratio.

Underrated Vehicle

This vehicle gives other luxury cars a run for their money. I am up to 89k miles and have not had any issues with the car. If you have any doubts go drive one for yourself and you will be definitely surprised.

Beware of electronics issues.

The car is excellent in everything you would be looking for in this type of car except it has multiple electrical issues that are difficult and expensive to get fixed. When we first got this car we loved it and in many ways it is the favorite car we have owned. However, due to multiple electrical issues that have been difficult to diagnose and very expensive to fix, we have lost all interest in ever owning another one.

Love those horses, all 429 of them.

My big V8 is a blast! It makes up for the following "crabs"; GPS display is often washed-out on a sunny day. (Unusable) Must hold up a hat or something to shade the display, to see it. You can guess how safe that is. When riding downhill with Cruise-Control engaged, it applies the brakes to prevent picking-up speed. That causes excessive break wear and decreased mileage. Must disengage at hilltop & re-engage at the bottom. My Buick Park Avenues didn't do that. T Occasionally find the rear seat temp. control (between the front seats) up in the "Hot" position. Don't know how it happens. I seldom have rear seat passengers. But it's very annoying in the summertime.

Best vehicle ever owned

This is by far the most dependable vehicle I have owned. The vehicle has over 154,000 and the only maintenance done are oil changes and tire replacement. Love to drive because it is comfortable and handles well.

2012 r spec Genesis

I love this vehicle! has the power to push me against the seat even at 70 mph, to pass another vehicle or avoid an unpleasant situation. the R Spec has been trouble free and is as quiet as a "tomb" on the highway. incidently, the audio system is superb!

Poor paint

Everything with the Genesis is above expectations with the exception of the paint on plastic parts (bumpers, rocker panels etc.). The clear coat on the rear bumper and rocker panels has failed and has scaled off. The balance of the vehicle is fine. This is the first vehicle on which we have ever had this happen. Should not happen on a vehicle that is only Six years old.

Not quite there yet I had to pay $1300 to get my windows and door locks working again and it would of been more withoiut my warranty . Bad wiring harnesses in 5 years is totally unacceptable this should of been taken care of for free by Hyundai

Good car overall loves the way it drives and handles and it looks and feel very expensive. The only draw back I had was the electrical problem with my windows , doors, parking sensors and automatic window sensor . I never had this type of stuff to go out on a car and never thought I would have to pay to get it fixed with less than 100000 Miles on my car and after owning it for less than 2 years . I think Hyundai should honor their original wArrenty even if you are not the first owner . Too much on a customer to pay when it’s something that should last for many years.

Genesis Review

Our Genesis is now six (6) years old and we have found this vehicle has met and exceeded all our expectations in what we could possibly ask for in a vehicle.It has even performed well in the bitter cold of winter and with regular maintenance still runs like new today with 90,000+ miles under its belt.

Braking Issue

With only 57,000 miles on my 2012 Genesis it suffered a loss of braking. The dealer could find nothing wrong with the brakes. I have lost confidence in the vehicle after the braking incident and have opened a case with NHTSA and Hyundai US.

Very good automobile. However, the navigation system has be sporadic - sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I will not take it to any local Hyundai dealers to be repaired because they do not seem to know what they are doing.
