Pleasure to Own

Purchased my car after totaling in an accident, didn't go to purchase but when showed and test drove, I made the choice to get the Genesis. My car is very nice, I like the space and how it rides. The options are good and the body style look sooo good to me. The Genesis will be the only car I will purchase till I stop driving.

Love at first drive

It has been love at first drive. Comfort and dependability are standard in the eight years I have driven my 2012 Genesis. It’s V 8 engine has all the power one could ever need. Amazing fuel efficiency for a large engine. It has all the modern conveniences one could want. My Genesis has 85,000 plus miles on it and I am thinking of a new one but I do love my old vehicle. MY CAR!!

I’ve driven a great many cars over the years, owned and rented, in all kinds of weather and road conditions. My Genesis is, without any question, the very best among it’s peers for mechanical excellence, driver and passenger comfort, styling, dependability and drivability. Could it use a few incidental tweaks...sure! Everything can be improved upon to some degree! But, I am a very happy Genesis owner and will be one into the foreseeable future. the Genesis is a great vehicle all the way around. both the the exterior design and interior are great. Handling and driving this vehicle is superb and as far as I am concerned the Genesis is in in a class of its own.

Genesis is a great car

I am a car nut. I have been reviewing the Genesis sedan since it launched in 2008. My wife an I have not been disappointed with our 2012 Genesis. It is solid as a rock, great sound system, amazing gas mileage for a car this size. Obviously, the 8 speed tranny helps. I love when people come up to us and say, "what make is that car". When we tell them it is a Hyundai Genesis...…..they don't believe it. It is very stately, but aggressive looking with the lower side molding. We definitely plan on paying a new/used Genesis in the future. Love the V6 hp and torque.

Awesome car with a few minor flaws.

I really enjoy my Genenis 5.0 RSpec. However besides that center control knob keeps breaking and unable to find some really great brakes then I have to give it 9.5 stars out of 10 in overall satisfaction. Awesome car to own.

Hyundai Genesis 2012

The car is great however, on the passenger side dash it has cracked and that is not a good sign. It started cracking after I just finished paying my car off. This is concerning because the car dash should not crack that quickly. I have maintained my car and this is a problem.

horsepower

My 2012 Genesis has more than ample horsepower. I travel the highway a lot and I need a vehicle that gives me a safe feeling. My Genesis has the acceleration I need to jump on the interstate and reach the traffic speed without other vehicles being forced to slow down. The features of my Genesis are great and too numerous to list here. Go and check it out for yourself.

2012 Genesis 4.6

Best car I've ever owned. I have not seen another Genesis that has the styling of the 2012 model. I watch for the newer models but they seem to follow the styling concepts of the competition, especially the grill design. Regardless, when it comes time to replace, my next car will still be a Genesis.

Just a great, luxurious, comfortable car

Just an absolutely perfect car as far as I'm concerned. It gets better mileage on a trip than what was estimated by Hyundai. I believe they estimated 28, when I drove it from Utah when purchased, believe it or not it was 33. Car is very stylish, with such a luxurious interior. I could just go on and on, I'm just completely satisfied with the car.

Love my Genesis!!!

My next car will also be a Genesis.. Best Car on the Road!! I have strangers walk up to me all the time commenting on what a great looking car I have.It blows me away, cause even though my car is a 2012 R-SPEC model, it looks, feels and drives like a new one. I love, love, love my car and my next one will be a G-90. I will be giving my current car now to my husband, that's how much I love it...just can't part with it!! My son just purchased a G-80 sport. Get a Genesis, you will NOT be disappointed!!

One of the best cars I have owned in over 60 years of driving

Great car with lots of features. The 3.8 CI direct injected engine paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission gives excellent acceleration. When driving from San Jose to Palm Springs on highway I5 the car gets about 30 mpg.

Love it! Nothing more need be said. Very reliable. The electronics can be a bit baffling. Very nice heavy ride. Very quiet internally with a superior comfort level and great wraparound sound system.

Gen 1 Hyundai Genesis Sedan the car you did not see coming

I have owned my 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan premium (non tech package) for more than 4 years and I must say it is truly in a league of its own. Hyundai reinvented themselves with the Genesis and Equuis lines by giving you luxury and performance with a middle class price! After months and months of research, I was sold on the warranty, the design, features, and most importantly the rarity. I did not see many Genesis' on the road in my home town. I wanted something sporty yet luxurious but did not want a cookie cutter German or Japanese lux automobile you see everywhere. Being different amongst the masses is my starting point. Having the choice of V6 and V8 was great. For MPG, I chose the V6 with still impressive HP and MPG. Right out of the gate I was impressed with the performance, reliability, and fun factor that the Genesis had in store. It has has turned many heads and after a nice wash/detail it turns my own! I have not had any mechanical issues after driving over 100k miles since purchasing. Just your basic wear and tear items. The warranty pays for itself and it seems it continues paying for it. When I am in the market for another vehicle, I will definitely look for another Genesis without hesitation.

2012 Genesis -- Good Car, but Premature Transmission Failure

Have been happy overall with my 2012 Genesis, but failure of the transmission at 6-yrs and 78K miles is a concern. However, due to Hyundai's 10-yr, 100K mile warranty on the power train, it was replaced under warranty. Otherwise, I think the car is great: refined, powerful, economical.

2012 Hyundai Genesis

I am driving my 3rd Genesis. I had leased one in 2011 and 2013, then bought a used 2012 in 2016. I have thoroughly enjoyed this vehicle from the first time that I drove it. It is extremely spacious inside, larger than the E class Mercedes and 5 Series BMW at half the price. The maintenance cost is affordable. The car handles well, the road ride is smooth and quiet. Head space is larger than other sedans. The instrument panel is simple and clean in design. Functionality of the navigation system is intuitive.

Great car.

I have had a number of cars in my time. None where as nice as my Genesis 3.8 sedan the fit and finish on the car are well done, also it has been trouble free. My wife love driving this car won’t trade it in for a new one. Thank you Hyundai for making such a fine automobile.
