Great Vehicle

I have owned the 2012 Genesis for 4 years and during that time the car has been great. The only real service I have had with the vehicle is for scheduled maintenance as everything checked out really well. I had one issue with the vehicle related to what I think ended up to be a dead battery in the remote. I was unable to start the vehicle. North Freeway replaced the battery in the remote and I have had no issues with the vehicle since. I now keep a spare battery in the glove compartment. The vehicle ride, handling, and comfort are great. The economy of the vehicle meets my expectations. We now have 57,000 miles on the vehicle and it is still operating extremely well. All in all it is a great vehicle and good value for the money.

Six years later

I got this automobile in 2011 after reading about it. It was then and still is a very well made, good looking car. The 6 cylinder, 335 HP motor is surprisingly powerful and the 8 speed transmission is buttery smooth. My favorite accessory is the "auto-hold" which allows me to take my foot off the brake pedal after coming to a complete stop. I plan to drive it thru the warranty period.

2012 Genesis 3.8

Overall a nice car but we went on a cross country trip last summer. The seats are not very comfortable for long drives (I was told to have upgraded seats you need to buy a R Spec) and why is there only the drivers seat cooled. I have the tech package and like the laser cruise control. The entire entertainment/GPS is not very good. When I complained at the dealer about this I was told the newer years are better.

Great Vehicle

2012 Genesis

I love the operation of the vehicle, but I don't total agree with the manufacture warrant on my or any other when comes to the sunroof operation. The car is 2012 with 38000 miles; the warranty states 5 years and 60,000 miles and parts of the sunroof is cover under the warrant. I thought I wanted a newer one but I think I have change my mind. Overall the car is a great performing car.

Hyundai Genesis 2012 4.6 Sedan

I purchased a certified Hyundai Genesis with 37,000 on it. The car is smooth as silk and powerful. With 385 HP you are never at a loss for acceleration! Quiet and comfortable, the 17 speaker Lexicon sound system surrounds you and your passengers in crystal clear music excellence. All of the electronics including navigation, bluetooth, lane departure warning work perfectly. The trunk is a decent size for trips long or short. I rave to others about the build quality and interior materials. I look forward to my next Genesis in the future!

Finest vehicle!

I have driven many new cars "in my past lives" as my husband says it- All were large cars, Lincoln Town Car ar, Mercury Grand Marquis, Ford Crown Vic, Olds Cutlass SS and the big olds, too, in the 70's, and so on. This is as fine a car as you would ever expect to purchase. I was shopping every brand, since I had not replaced my last car for 15 years. Got lucky- the Genesis sedan is a winner!

Dependable and Luxury

I love the Genesis sedan. The vehicle rides smooth, comfortable, and not a lot of outside noise can be heard inside. Very affordable luxury sedan compared to BMW or Benz. Highly recommended if you're looking for a high end luxury without the high end prices.

Beautiful to look at

Downside to this vehicle are as follows: 1) "select knob" is in a very busy area with no lock-in place mechanism 2)CD does not automatically go the next disc and needs to be done manually, simple feature, put it back for those of who use teaching cd's. Let driver choose same 3) cannot listen to media in an "accessory" mode; vehicle must be running 4)voice recognition is TERRIBLE 5)this class of car should have auto trunk opener and not just a trunk release 6) warning message must be manually removed; should auto disappear after a set number of seconds 7)need more space in console area

Lots for your buck...

I really was sceptical about buying a Hyundai, however test driving my Genesis I was sold... I've owned BMW'S and Mercedes however this car looks good, rides like butter, and has a great warranty...So I'm now a believer in the Genesis brand, in about two years I plan to trade this one in for a new genesis....if your thinking about buying a Genesis, just take a test drive and you to will see why it sells itself...

Genesis RSPEC Comfortable Power

Overall love the car.... However it Burns as much oil as it does gas.....Hyundai does not admit they have a lower global lower block issues on the 5.0 and state oil consumption as normal.

2016 Hyundai Genesis

Not as good a car as the 2012 Genesis. Interior headroom is so poor that at even 5 feet 4 inches, I bump my head entering the front seat. Also, the front visor won't even clear my face when adjusting it. Very poor interior design. My former Elantra had much more interior room and head clearance than the 2016 Genesis. A total redesign of the interior is required.

Best bang for the buck ever!

If your in the market for a used vehicle look at the Genesis, just take it for a test drive. You could thank me later. 2012 2013 2014 3.8 v6 I had several and speak from experience.
