Great car! Outstanding fuel economy.

My last car had 365 hp, the one before that 360hp, 405hp before that! So going to an Ioniq was a big leap. Watching the mpg gauge remain above 50mpg for an entire tank is amazing. I drive 30k to 40k Miles a year so fuel economy is important.

Miles and Miles to go!

I really enjoy not having to stop every couple of days to refuel. I am averaging between 65-75 miles per gallon of fuel! Greatest feature of my car, it is not a comfortable car to ride in for long distance driving, otherwise it is an intelligent purchase.

I drive an Ioniq now!

I had a Prius and now I drive an Ioniq. Each day I feel better about the decision I made to get the Ioniq. As a larger male, I need the extra room and I have it. I was excited about the comfort and have been blown away with the mileage I am getting (+60 mpg per tank). Since the cost of fuel has continued to rise, all I can say is... Thank You, God!!

Excellant Mielage in the summer

I have owned a Prius for 8 years and although it was a very nice car when I went to look for a new one the Ioniq ran circles around the Prius from a technology and safety perspective and had more bells and whistles for less money with a better warranty. When temperature is above 40 degrees I get 58 to 60 miles per gallon in town but when the temperature drops so does the mileage (44 to 48). I have not figured out why yet. The only other thing that I am watching is that the brakes appear to be wearing faster than I have seen with other cars I have owned. Time will tell.

Great car if you don't have a warranty issue.

My Ioniq broke down on the freeway. It shut off in the fastlane in traffic. It was incredibly dangerous, I could have been seriously injured or killed. When I took the car to the dealer it took over 35 days to diagnose and repair the issue. During that time, Hyundai USA would not return my phone calls, and when they finally did, they were not helpful or sympathetic. The main person I dealt with was indifferent and hostile. Yes, eventually they figured it out and repaired the car, but they way they treated me was horrible. I worry that it will be equally difficult to get any future warranty issues addressed in a timely fashion. I also know now that dealing with Hyundai USA is next to impossible. So I can't recommend the brand to anyone looking for a car with a good warranty and good customer service to match.

I love this car! It is sporty looking and very environmentally friendly. The car is very quiet and rides smoothly. I save money on gas as it gets 55 mpg!! The trunk is very spacious and acts like a hatchback but the outside of the car does not look like a hatchback.

Gas mileage without speed loss

I love my Ioniq Hybrid Blue. I routinely get between 52 and 57 mpg unless I'm trying to get somewhere quickly. If I shift it into sport mode, I can easily reach 80 or 90 and still get around 40 ish mpg. It was 47 mpg, using sport mode to get to speed and using eco mode from Columbia to Charleston (around 100 miles). It only took about a quarter of a tank in gas. I love my car and intend to keep it in good condition until the vehicle lifespan expires.

This car is a GEM!

I have been enjoying my new car for a year now and have put a ridiculous 23,000 miles on it - running grandchildren around town and taking long road trips. (3 car seats fit across the back seat!) It still looks and feels like new. I wanted a hybrid for the economy, but didn't think I could afford one. This car is a great value, a quality product, and I could not be happier with my purchase. I'm not sure I ever felt that way about a new car after the first year. The Apple Car Play interface makes everything seamless, so my phone is always plugged in, I'm hands-free, and I didn't have to learn a new system. It's comfortable, beyond economical to drive, handles well, and has plenty of power for metro freeway merging and steep grades. I easily average 50mpg, without trying. If I pay attention to keeping it high, and in some driving situations, I have averaged well over 60mpg. I will be enjoying this car for many years - and the peace of mind with the overall warranty and the lifetime battery warranty! Thank you Hyundai!

Exceeded Expectations

Have owned the vehicle for 1 year and some days now. All I can say is best decision ever! I do quite a bit of driving. I average 25 thousand miles per year, living in the suburbs and commuting into the city daily. Immediately appreciated the gas mileage was very close to 60mpg and a little over 600 miles to the tank. All this for $25! The vehicle is very sporty looking and easy on the eyes both interior and exterior. It came with a touch screen radio and XM subscription. Handling is great with out the lag or delay of other hybrids. Exterior lighting is great during night time driving. The engine is quiet to a fault. Thank goodness the vehicle chimes when you exit with the key while it’s idling. Cabin noise is at a minimum when driving too. Stereo on the base model is rich and fulfilling. Interior space is roomy and rear seats fold down for additional storage space.

I love to drive this fun little car. The exterior is stylish and sleek. The interior is comfortable and spacious enough to carry lots of luggage and cargo. As I zip around town, the gas mileage is fantastic!

first time Hyundai Buyer

Software is not as expected. Locks up many times when in Canada and Blue Link/Google feature never work there. I have family there so I go at least 3 times a week. have to reboot audio/navigation system or wait for it to reboot itself. Can take up to 45 minutes for it to reset on it's own.

EXCELLENT AND ECONOMICAL

TIS CAR HAS BEEN THE BEST I HAVE EVER LEASED. I LOVE THE WARRANTY, THE HYBRID BATTERY AND THE GAS MILAGE. WITH THE COST OF GASOLINE HERE IN CALIFORNIA, THE IONIQ HAS DEFINITELY SAVED ME A LOT OF MONEY.

New purchase just off the truck.

The one thing that was disappointing is the sparse selections of options for the blue drive Iconiq. I wanted the smart cruise control and the navigation options. (not available on Iconiq Blue Drive vehicles) I would have liked to have the avoidance braking option also.

Great gas mileage

Love the gas mileage but ride could be better. Entering and exiting the car is uncomfortable and any one who is over five feet tall finds it very hard to get into and out of the car. Ride is smooth but there's excessive road noise.

Best hybrid on the market

As a pure hybrid, nothing beats this car. The sound system is great, CarPlay is standard and there are ample charging ports. The mileage you’ll get really is between 55-58 MPG on average. The car is comfortable, but lacks in features for its price tag. If the next version of the IONIQ can get 70+ MPG and add in some extra features, I will be upgrading!

Software

The Blue Link only works in the US. As I have to travel to Canada at least 3 times a week the system is worthlessness there. Why have it if notifications cannot happen if needed. Also the Audio system locks up continuously and resetting doesn’t work. Basically I wouldn’t purchase this or any Hyundai until this is remedied.
