2021 Santa Fe limited

Really nice car with amazing features but under a year of owning the car the check engine light came on and the car stopped driving. My car has been in the shop for a month now and I have no idea what’s going on with it.

Buy something else

Initially, I was very impressed with the car. It is loaded with lots of neat features and is very comfortable to drive and is easy to handle. However, after 10k miles the transmission failed as we were pulling out of the driveway. No warning or prior indication it was going to happen. I had it towed to the dealership for repairs where it sat for nearly 4 months waiting on a new transmission to be shipped and installed. In the meantime, I'm paying for a vehicle I cannot use, no communication from the dealership repair shop, and no idea when it would be fixed. The dealer also didn't have any loaners to use. "Supply chain issues, Coof," are the usual excuses these days. I guess you can blame that for the poor quality. I owned a 2003 years ago. Trans was replaced less than a year after owning it. I thought the quality had improved over the years. I guess I was wrong.

I don't know

The door locks are horrible. This creates a very real safety issue. I cannot stand the car because of it. Also, greatly dislike having to manually turn off the engine automatic cut off on idle (Auto idle stop?). We loved the 2011 and 2018 Santa Fe's, so this is a huge disappointment.

Hyundai does not correct defects

The drivers seat is positioned off center causing discomfort for drivers. Have to use a cushion to keep lip of seat from pushing into hip. Hyundai keeps stalling and not providing either a new seat or way to reposition

I’m in love with the interior and exterior styling of the Santa Fe. Lots of great tech and safety features for the money. Vehicle is fun to drive. Overall great vehicle with the exception of the transmission.

Santa fe 2021 Limited NOT better then Kia Sorrento 2021

Lots of problem, center console reflect sun light straight into driver eyes during mid day driving, gas tank never fills completely, bench seat rattles, driver side door rattles, cabin smells musty in summer even in New vehicle, sensor do weird beep randomly when there is no object move and some time it don't give any alert when there is moving object.

Low performance

I am dissatisfied with the power of this vehicle. Slow engine take off. When braking I hear a clunk noise. When descending down a hill the engine revs too high. The passenger seat sits too low and there is no adjustment for this issue.

Don’t get it

Not really worth it man made vehicle that looks good but poorly built has alright feature but they will become useless after you actually start to drive it around so ask about the update to the gear shift and what issues it will cause. Ask about thinks you typically don’t think about when purchasing a vehicle And test out the safety features cause yeah they don’t work right either

Do not buy or lease unless you have an android phone

This car is sleek and stylish, however it does not live up to the hype. This dealer is very much behind in technology and drivers cannot use the bluetooth/map feature with an Apple phone. This is VERY dangerous and unacceptable. I brought my brand new car in to the dealership twice, without any resolution or explanation. I will have to rely on buying a separate navigation system to use and not take calls during driving, which is a huge inconvenience. At this price, I would not recommend this car to anyone.

Too much unnecessary electronic features. Next year design 2 models of the santa fe, one with the nice safety features you have in 2020, but give the owner a choice a choice to buy that, or one with all the electronic features that are not safety features, but playful electronic features that are not needed for safety, but for people that like playing, with the dash,not driving the car safely. My wife was overwhelmed and will not drive the new Santa Fe, too confusing electronic.

Handling & visibility

Hard to handle around curves..... feels unstable when going around curves and corners. Very low visibility at night especially turning & dark roads. There is a v - shaped light on the road which limits visibility.

I don't like the way this vehicle handles on the road.

The performance of this is vehicle is not all that great. I find it is sluggish, awkward, floppy, weird accelerator, and useless cruise control, and the mileage does not meet expectations. The exterior styling and interior are beautiful as well as the leg room, storage capacity, and comfort. I only give it 2 stars. I should have bought a Toyota!

Don't ask

Last week I would have said everything was good except speed control does not work, this week for reason unknown the transmission has to be replaced. My car is 1 year old with 11,000 miles. The working parts of the car are very nice. Comfortable for long trips.

The oil was run out of the engine stranding me, the AC stopped working within one year, the sound system now rattles so I cannot listen to it how I want to, and now it does not even start on the first try sometimes taking me 6 or 7 tries to even start this brand new 2021 car

I am beyond frustrated by my purchase and feel taken advantage of. This car has 27,000 miles on it and I have only owned it for one year. I am incredibly disappointed because I love this car and was so excited to purchase it. Now it has been a source of embarrassment as I sit in parking lots trying to get my brand new car to even start.

Not Happy with Hyundai

I love my vehicle the design, features and comfort that’s why I bought it. But it has been problem after problem with the vehicle and the dealership/mechanics. Multiple large parts such as fuel pumps and transmission failed and had to be replaced, and the vehicle gave me no warning lights to indicate it wasn’t safe to drive. Hyundai customer care is not willing to help at all and continues to close my tickets with no resolution. So sad because I really do love my vehicle.

Hyundai lacks customer service support.

Hyundai customer service is a joke. Even after paying additional funds to have their Hyundai dealer look at brakes was told it wasn’t covered. Said brakes were not a covered item but independent mechanic said flaw. Hyundai dealership wanted to charge over $1000 for a vehicle that was less than 2 years old to sand down discs to avoid squeak when light braking at low speeds. Customer service department took over 3 months to respond negatively. Out time and money that we will never get back.

Faulty transmission

I did a lot of research and test-driving on various vehicles. Having had numerous luxury brands, I heard and read many great reviews of the Santa Fe. I loved the look and style and even the drive, especially for the price point. My perception changed when I noticed engine shifting issues, then transmission fluid needing to be added multiple times then my car stalling out and losing power with a check engine light. After the dealer performed a software update (recent recall) they noticed the transmission (oil pump) needed to be replaced. Part delivery was TBD and it took 40+ days to receive, and install. Corporate Hyundai was proactive in communicating with me (I had to call to start a CASE and get CASE#). I am now 2 weeks in without any issues. TBD and fingers crossed no more engine/transmission issues.

Too many technical problems

Navigation, Driver Assistance all are flawed and dealers more or less tell you there is no problem yet you wind up in the wrong places and the drivers assist has almost caused you accidents instead of preventing them
