A Decent Vehicle

The 2025 Sonata has a comfortable ride. The interior configuration is less than ideal for a shorter person. Did not have this issue with my 2020 Sonata. I have a hybrid model and the highway milage is no better than the 2020 Sonata which is gas powered - about 40mpg. However, I do get about 33 mpg in town. I do not like the column gear shift. It is hard for me to get it into neutral. This vehicle lacks HomeLink, a compartment for sunglasses, and the console is too far to the rear. I do not like the split navigation screen. I have to go through three steps to get the navigation portion to have a light background so one can easily see the route. I did not have this issue on the 2020 Sonata. A taller person probably would not have these complaints. Operationally, the vehicle is fine. The time it takes to get up to highways speed on the interstate is acceptable. But I find the interior configuration lacking and somewhat annoying. If the future Sonatas have a similar interior, I will not purchase one.

Quality with Great Hybrid Mileage

Outstanding, well-built hybrid. The Sonata sedan is very spacious and comfortable for a tall driver and back seat passengers alike. Reliability is wxceptional.

Our 2025 Sonata Limited Hybrid

Overall we are satisfied with our Sonata Hybrid. Driver’s seat, although it is comfortable, could be more adjustable. We miss having the datalink to open our garage door. It was standard equipment on our 2019 Sonata Hybrid and our 2023 Santa Fe.

good fuel economy, polarizing look

We bought this primarily as a commuter vehicle and have been pleased with the economy. I'm averaging 53.4 MPG over 16.2K of mostly city and short interstate driving. The ride is fairly comfortable and the handling is competent, if a bit uninspiring. I do feel like the car is a bit underpowered and I wish the HVAC was a control, not a touch screen. It is hard to see when driving. I wish there were more colors available and easier to get. The driver aids are overly intrusive / annoying, and I cannot find a way to turn them off.
