2005 Prius

Very pleased with the vehicle. Nice vehicle to drive. Gas mileage is very good. (8/14 thru 12/14 averaged 36.8 MPG for the first 997.7 miles [over-all]; 8/14 thru 3/15 (12 fill-ups) averaged 31.6 MPG for 2247.4 total miles driven - mostly short drips, city driving only. So far, no complaints. Happy with the vehicle an relatively easy to maintain. :)

My 2005 Prius

My Prius has lived up to my expectations. The big battery has lasted 156,000 miles so far with no cells going bad. It has saved me a ton of money on gas.

I love the gas mileage and the features. But as far as repairs the cost is through the roof

89,000 miles and 13 years old -- dead

I really thought my 2005 Prius battery should last more than 89,000 miles and 13 years. Oh, well. Now my car is headed for the landfill, and I have to buy another car under pressure since mine doesn't start.

love it

Bought it new at Vancouver Toyota. Paid cash for it (like literally cash). Have never had it serviced anywhere else but Vancouver Toyota. They do an excellent job. Love my car! I hope it drives forever.

2005 Toyota Prius

Great car - my car gets great gas mileage, is well-built and roomy enough for me to camp in, if needed. It is a very practical car that functions well and is quite dependable. The interior could be souped up a bit, with more comfortable seats, bluetooth, etc.

I have almost 260,000 miles now and just had the rear brakes done.

My car has been great except for the oil leak As my car is too old it is not included in any class action suits. It was the same with the headlights a few years ago.

Love my Prius

I love my Prius ! It's a great car, versatile, great gas milage, very comfortable and spacious. The seats fold down so I for a water heater in my compact car. The biggest draw back is that it's expensive to repair. There are some known issues, like the right head light goes out randomly and you have to turn the lights off and back on to get it to work again. Everything is computerized.

Will this thing not die?

I bought my first Prius as a second car used with 217,000 miles. I get it Ryan 7-10k miles. Early on the catalytic converter failed and I was out $700. My next repair was replacing the battery pack at 270,000 miles, $1,200. That’s it! I paid $4,500 for it. The odometer failed over a year ago when it hit 299,999. I since learned this is a quirk of a number of vintage Toyotas. Does not affect anything else or performance. I am certain it is beyond the 320,000 mark. My second, a year newer, same model bought used for $4,800 with 117,000 miles. I have put over 100,000 on it with 0 repairs and it still runs like it did when I bought it.

Review of my used Toyota Prius

I’ve not had the 2005 Toyota Prius but a few weeks, and due to Covid19, haven’t driven it much. However, I had a Toyota in the past, and I loved it. I am sure that after driving it a while, my opinion will not change.

2005 Prius

Excellent automobile. Almost no problems in over 140,000 miles; brakes still are in good shape. Pleased with the mileage so far, averaging just over 42 MPG overall since purchasing the car.

A real trooper

Over 157K miles and it just keeps going, and keeps averaging 46+miles per gallon. Only issue is headlights, they tend to burn out at an high rate, and require a lot of labor to replace.

05 Prius

My 10 year old Prius with almost 100,000 miles on it has been a great car and the gas mileage is great. I'll probably buy a new Prius in a couple of years.

i love my Prius!

I bought a 2005 Prius and have loved every minute of it. It was my first brand new car. Smooth ride, and after 10 years, i finally had to replace the battery. I've got 118,000 miles on it and am just now having to replace the brake pads. EVERYONE should make brake pads that only need to be replaced every 10 years! My next car will definitely be another Toyota hybrid. It's very roomy inside as well.
