Toyota Prius 2010 Best car for 15 years

This is the best car you can have. Mine has 185000 miles to prove it. All feature of it work as well as when the car was new. Only one repair in all those years. The water pump at 184000 miles. After that it work like new again. 5 sets of tires, 2 regular batteries and several trips up and down California and I only had to use the spare tire once. The car is cool when it is hot outside thanks to the roof top solar panel that keeps a fan circulating air inside. A bonus that never gets old.

Me and My Toyota Prius

I have had this car since 2010 and I am truly pleased with it. As it gets older, it requires more attention just to keep her running but I would definitely look to buy another Prius. What you save on gas is worth it alone. I would definitely purchase another and recommend it.

Reliable starting, comfortable, with great gas mileage

We bought our 2010 Toyota Prius used about 5 years ago and for the most part the car has served us well. It has had it minor issues over the years but we find the car to be reliable, quick start, comfortable for 4 persons, and we get great gas mileage. I don't care much for the rear view spoiler, but have not other serious issues with the vehicle.

It Keeps on Going

I love my Toyota Prius, from the first day I purchased her. She is now going on 13 years and has a few nicks and some issues. It's great on gas and mileage  I would caution people to NOT go to a Toyota service shop unless you know the mechanics and can trust that you won't be ripped off.

Good vehicle, but could use a battery warning light

Everything has been good with the Prius, our third Toyota, except that the battery gave us no warning two times, when it just died. Once it had to be towed, and yesterday the repair shop was able to jump it so we could drive it to their shop. Please consider a warning light of some kind to prevent emergencies like ours. Thank you

I like this car

I like looking at the car with its sloping windshield and rich blue color; I wash it more than I did with previous vehicles. It goes about its business without fuss. Thirteen years old and with 202,000 mi. on a recent trip I recorded 49.3 mpg. It’s an honest car.

Older Prius, works like a new car!

My son gifted me with my 2010 Prius when my 2007 VW Beetle could no longer work well for me as it had serious transmission problems. I am so happy with my Prius. It goes on a tank of gas once a month and has been easy to drive and problem free.

Princess Prius is a keeper! Still a wonderfully reliable car!

Ours was the last car on the lot before the Tsunami hit Japan and they were not available for many months in the US. Our Prius continues to run well, requiring only regular maintenance. A comfortable drive and had saved us on gas!

Super reliable

I'll buy a Prius again and again! These cars are incredibly great on gas, super roomy inside and have awesome pick up! I'm on my second Prius and will likely eventually get a third someday. Highly recommend any Prius!!

Best car ever

My 2010 Prius has sun room, solar panels on the roof for interior cooling when parked in the sun and all leather interior. It has 164,000 miles and I’ve done only oil changes, tires and front sway bars. I’m still getting local 45+ mpg and 50+ on the highway. I’ve owned many cars but I will never go back to a non hybrid. I love bypassing gas stations and repair shops.

Excellent all around

We have owned this car for 11 years. One of the best cars we've ever owned. Maintenance has been almost entirely routine. A couple of recalls, and everything else has been fluids, tires, and brakes. We like the configuration of space in this car for passengers and cargo.

Good to deal with a good mechanic who knows more about hybrid like Ali.

Nice car when it’s comes to fuel it’s give you good miles per gallon. Toyota engine can give long services when you get a good mechanic who knows what he is doing and with good experience Ali has at list he gave hope for the engine after he does pressure engine testing

Great car, but could be better.

I don't know why Toyota door seals are not truly watertight, especially in winter. Several things about the cabin layout could be improved. Windshield visors should be on sliding arms; when the sun is from the side, they're worthless.

I love my 2010 Prius

I love my 2010 Prius and have driven it on many long trips as well as around town. It gets great gas mileage and is a gem to drive. I love the hatchback and it has come in handy on many occasions. It was the first year that there was the Power Drive button for climbing hills and this makes it a better car on long drives.

Oil Burner

Owned several Toyotas and his is the first to burn oil at 138K miles. The problems started after an engine oil flush suggested by the dealership. The delaership "company line" is this is just normal for these vehicles. Never another Toyota especially when a 20 year old Lexus RX 300 with the same amount of miles is NOT burning oil.

Oil Burner

All was good with vehicle until dealership completed an engine oil flush in 2019. Now vehicle burns oil. Drove 32,000 miles and oil service 8 times! Last straw at 9th visit when Toyota Service representative doubted me that "low engine oil pressure" light was activating. I caught him making comments about me to another employee so I left the dealership without the service. Another women shared that she had the similar experience and reported the event to Corporate. After owning 3 Toyotas this will be my last. Beware.

Would buy it again

We were attracted to the Prius, because it was designed to be a hybrid and not adapted from another design. The use of space if very efficient. It has been trouble-free, and 50 mpg! My only complaints are the low ground clearance in the front, not the best headlights, and for a tall driver, it's a little hard to see out. The seats are manually adjustable but very comfortable. A perfect around-town car.

We Love our 2010 Prius

Our 2010 Prius is our third Prius. We have owned a 2006, 2008 and now a 2010. All have been a joy to drive. The mileage has stayed around 47-50+ mpg on all three models which has been great. Our friends marvel at our consistent high mileage. On all our Prius, we have maintained the recommended servicing with Parker Toyota. That is money in the bank. We are a senior couple and drive with confidence knowing our Prius will deliver us to and front our destinations comfortably and safely. When we trade our Prius, it will be another Prius from Parker Toyota. Frank P
