2006 Hyundai Azera

We have had this car since January 2007. Best car I've had in 50 years of driving. I would upgrade to a newer model, but I have no need for any of the newer features. It appears this one should be fixable indefinitely, has adequate power, will do up to 28 mpg on long trips, and we find seat/mirror memory essential.

Azera, luxury

The first year they made Azera; 2006. I still have and love driving this luxury car. It has features some of the current luxury autos do not have. I love the pedal adjustment settings, the two driver settings, the great leather and quite peppy with 268 horses. Roomy for this six foot driver with plenty of passenger room behind me. Great car.

The Azera was introduced and hailed as the new model to compete with Lexus for 2006!

The Azera surpassed our expectations as its soft leather seats and extra long back seating has made our passengers super comfortable while on long trips to other states! Its Infinity stereo multi speaker system is on the same par as the Nakamichi in the Lexus LS series! My cousin had the Lexus LS430 sedan and when she rode in the Azera thought it was a Lexus as it for so appointed luxury inside! I have owned this vehicle since 2006 and the reliability has be excellent with very few warranty concerns just minor things Hyundai fixed immediately! The engine runs super quiet and powerfully with excellent transmission shifting smooth as silk. To be honest I have not found a high quality replacement vehicle since then and continue to now repair the few minor issues after all these years! If you can find a low mileage Azera buy it as you won't be disappointed! Also the brake tail lights are so visible as they are maybe sixty LED lights so it is super visible from behind! It is nearly a perfect car. I think of this model as what the Genesis will grow up to be one day!

2006 Azera "Good and Bad"

Great road car. Beautiful Car, Great body style. Inside and outside finish very good. Very comfortable. Very roomy. Large trunk. Way to much road noise for a upscale car. The V-6 motor has a ton of power and tranny very smooth. However, Hyundai has a lot to learn about efficient gearing. At 70 MPH, I am turning 2100 or 2200 RPM's rather than 1800/1900 RPM's. Rather than mid twenties for highway milage, I could be in the high twenties to low thirties. In town, 15 MPG. Otherwise, very good transportation.

Maybe.. Maybe not

Squirrely on acceleration . Body will dent on the smallest of contact. Only made for small people. Under 6 foot tall and under 200lbs in weight. To many goodies can not always be a good thing. Gas milage is under 20 even on highway

The Azera has been an awesome car. Drives like a dream. Hyundai has been a great company to work with. They have been very responsive to issues even though vehicle was out of warranty. Would not hesitate to buy another Hyundai.

Still styling

I have had my Azera for twelve years now. Some people still think it's a fairly new car. I get compliments on it all the time. It is comfortable, powerful and stylish. Performs like a dream on long trips and while just out and about the local area. It has plenty of power when you need it, especially merging into traffic on the interstates. For me the only things it lacks is an in dash display screen and WiFi connection for hands free talking on my smartphone. I keep thinking of trading it in for a newer model but I love my 2006 Azera too much and you've stopped making them. I will drive her till she can't run anymore and I hope that's many years down the road

Love my car.

I Love my car. It drives well and the quality is superior. It has features that are only on the more expensive cars. I like it better than the Lexus that I had before. When I will buy another car I will choose another one like this one.

Love my car, 12 years old and going strong. Very few issues with the car. Only trouble we had was caused by bad tires. The dealer was able to identify the problem with their service. Great car, good gas mileage with a powerful engine. Comfortable ride, would recommend people test drive the car. The car is very quiet while traveling at highway speeds.

Happy

Overall my Azera has been an easy car to own and drive and it has been trouble free to own and operate. I am happy with and love to drive it. The trunk is spacious and so is the interior of it. The color is nice as well.

This vehicle was a great purchase which has provided me with great mobility for many years. Service and regular maintenance were always performed very well at either Manahawkin or Toms River Lester Glenn facilities.

I love my azera. This car is fun to drive. For being a 2006 it still has sexy body lines and a sporty feel. I love the leather heated seats. Roomy inside and a large trunk. Sound system is great.

Good car but!

We love the car, the only problem has been with the airbag warning light. It was fixed once under warranty and once under a recall. It reappears and goes away at various times. The dealer assures me the airbag is okay. It is not a pleasant feeling.

In 2006 I wanted a nice car that would last me. Kept telling my wife this would be the last car I bought for myself, that was until I sat in the newer ones. I think this car, Azera, was the best entry level car anyone could produce. It's to bad Hundai doesn't make them anymore.

What a car!!!

I got the Azera in 2007 when a test drive of a Sonata revealed its suspension system was too soggy for my taste. The used Azera had a nice tight suspension, so I bought it, not having noticed the 160MPH spedometer. I later learned that the car has a top speed of 146 according to the manual.

2006 Hyundai Azera

I bought my 2006 Hyundai Azera from Speck Hyundai as a used in 2012. It had only had one owner before I bought it and low miles. I got a really good deal on it. I really didn't realize how great of a car it was until I had been driving it for awhile. It has all the bells and whistles that a 2006 could have. Although a Sedan, it seats 5 comfortably. Now I have owned it for 6 years myself. It is still running strong although I have put alot of miles on it. Unfortunately, Hyundai quit making the Azera. But I was told that they upped their game on the Sonata and now it is as nice as the Azera! If you want a really nice car, get a used Azera or a new Sonata! Oh yeah...one more thing...this car has some giddy up and go!
