Great package of luxury, tech and horsepower

The Hyundai Azera was not even a choice for me when purchasing a new car. A friend of mine was managing the sales department and after I mentioned my frustration over not finding a car I wanted to spend the next ten years with, he showed me the Azera. I didn't tell him that the moment I sat in it the car was sold. Luxury seating I could not find in Lincoln, Chevy or Ford. Tech I could not find in any import for near the price, and few car makers had near the horsepower. I have just over 50,000 miles on my 2012 Azera without any problems. Best car I have owned in thirty years!

Top notch

You can’t buy a better car for the money. Sad to see this model is getting dropped. With the tech package you have every available option at your fingertips. Car is a blast to drive and very fast!! The body style with the wide aggressive hips and 19” tires has a super sporty look that has no equal in its class.

Why did they discontinue this model?

After our 2006 Lexus was totaled by a driver blowing through an intersection we found a 2012 Azera at Rick Case Hyundai in Alpharetta. A very clean car with distinctive lines, loaded with features and at an attractive negotiated price this Azera is a very nice car and caught our favor over a Genesis.

Good Car

I come from a family who enjoys their Hyundai vehicles (09 Genesis,11 Azera) so I thought I'd take a shot at a nice secondhand Azera. Overall the car is great comfortable and appeals to me in many ways considering I'm 22 and I've always seen the Azera to be a older demographic car this generation seems to contend to people more my age. The 293hp mated to the 6spd tiptronic type shift is easy to manipulate and the big 245/19 inch wheels really keep it planted when going for "spirited" drives. The interior is beautiful and tastefully styled,the ambient lighting Is really nice at night along with the Panoramic sunroof.

Love my Azera

I've had my car for 6 1/2 years and it still runs like new. The warranty was bumper-to-bumper for 100,000 miles and has been honored. I feel like it can be passed down to the next generation without fail.

Fun to drive and runs fantastic

There's pros and cons to the Azera. It has great Style, I love the stereo, heated seats, and functionality. The cons would be the plastic instead of metal covering the front tire area. When things catch on it, it pops out, and now I frequently have to reattach it by hand. It does have an area on the steering wheel where the silver paint is scratching off. The last con is that you feel everything bump and groove in the road. Even with the cons, I would buy the Azera again. I love the power and it doesn't cost me in miles per gallon.

Love My Azera!

I didn't even know that an Azeta existed until I saw it on the lot!! Sleek body style, low profile. Even though its a 2012, ot has all the bells snd whistles!! Bluetooth enabled, Sirris XM, rear camera , seat heaters, leather interior and a HUGE trunk!! Great gas milage, too!!!

Over grown Sonota

The Azera is a nice looking car compared to the Sonota but it falls short after that....resale value is rather poor compared to its smaller sibling....(Sonota) Azera has defective issues that are overlooked by its company...the steering coupler is a common defect found on the Sonota and Elantra and are covered under warranty but for the few customers that elected to purchase the Azera are out of luck and will have to pay for the repair..I hope that Hyundai would look into this and stand behind their product line.

Love my car

I love my azera! It looks so clean & luxurious even after 6 years. I bought it used but it was a company car so I great condition. Drives great and the color never looks dirty. The interior colors and lighting are perfect!

Azera is not too good to me

First off in the beginning I loved the Azera mainly because of the style but as being the only driver of a brand new car since 2012, the sound of the engine start up after sitting I’m always told by strangers YOUR needs oil, however I never miss an oil change.. had a lot problems with it stalling but no one can find what’s wrong with it, even wanted to get rid of it for something else with even more miles than my Azera ( not at 100,000 miles yet? Overall I wished I would’ve returned after leasing but opted to keep it because I liked the Azera a lot... my everyday regret ?

Fits like a glove

I love my Azera - it fits me well and I'm very happy with it. Only dislike was the low profile tires that came on it as i prefer a little more rubber between me and the road. Road noise could be improved on and if windows are down and the interior cover for the sunroof flaps

I have owned this car for over 6 years and am truly satisfied with it. It is reliable and comfortable in either highway or street traffic. A definite hidden jewel. Sorry it is no longer part of the Hyundai line-up.

Great car just terribly unreliable

When your wifes car won't start reliably, several dynamics are at play. She is a professional lady. Car won't start, 100+ degrees outside. Raining outside. 28 degrees outside. Sketchy neighborhood maybe. Get out of the car with her "jumper box", open the hood, connect the jumper, get back in the car and start, back out of the car to disconnect said jumper box, close hood, get back in the car sweating, wet from rain, freezing cold or thanking God for protecting her from whatever lurked around the corner. Then after she got home, plugging in the jumper box to make sure it would be ready for the next day. This car was in three different Hyundai dealerships multiple times over a 6 year period and none could ever diagnose the electrical problem that killed batteries and repair the problem. Twice keeping 10 days or more. Thankfully the car went to auction and my wife is now happily drive a new non-Hyundai vehicle.

Roomy and Comfortable car

My husband and I loved our 2012 Hyundai Azera from the first look and sitting in it on the showroom floor! I was really sold on it when taking for a test drive. The great gas mileage, roominess in car and trunk, back seats fold down, steering wheel comfort, heated/cooled seats, GPS display, Sirius XM radio and the beautiful style make this My Car! So very sorry more will not be made.

Vehicle review

Best looking, best performing, most reliable car I’ve ever owned. Six years old and still going strong. Looking at new cars but can’t find any to match my Azera. Somebody will have to show me a car with comparable beauty and performance and offer me a great deal financially before I’ll part with it.

The Azera is the best car I have ever owned. I would buy another one except you stopped making them!! When I am ready to buy another car, I will look for a used 2017 Azera. I think Hyundai made a serious mistake by discontinuing this car. Most people can afford a Sonata and, even some can buy the Azera, but most cannot afford the Genisis or Equis.

Love my vehicle

I love my Hyundai Azera. It has so much room inside and I love the features that come along with it. Includes Panaramic sun roof, also navigation system. Also has a back up camera which allows me to see behind me. Also comes with sun visor in the back windshield helps with the sun shining through.

Wish they would have updated the model. Love how it looks and drives. Could use more power and a little less body roll. But overall a wonderful car. Wife loves it and she the primary driver. Very reliable car!
