The only complaint I have is the fact I had to replace the steering gear system before I believe I should have.

Very good performing vehicle

Like any vehicle, regular maintenance is important. This has been the best vehicle I've ever had.

Almost Great SUV

This SUV is near great. It is has a few drawbacks and they are: no iPod jack, the car wobbles weird when all 4 door windows are down when going 50+ MPH, it is more ideal for someone in size between 5'1 and 6'1. Those below this height will have a harder time stepping in and those above this height will feel close to the ceiling or the chairseat a bit small. The seats are not curved enough on the bottoms and one slides a little when going around curves. The heated seat buttons are too far to reach even for a tall / long person and the buttons should be up higher for easier access. The tailpipes rust if driven a short distance with the AC on and the tailpipes are one huge long piece meaning the who thing has to be replaced compared to just the end where it rusts. KIA does some of these things better and very similar all around. Though I will keep this car a long time and I do like it quite a bit, most likely my next SUV, if I get a SUV, will likely be a KIA. Hyundai service center is much better than KIA though I has have a KIA as well.

Energizer Bunny

Problems on my 2004 Santa Fe persisted on both of my my 2008 models. Minor annoyances. Car very reliable. Currently 175K+ miles and still going. The other has 125K+ miles and also still on the road.

Santa Fe is Santa Gr8

I had to buy a new car when my Lexus RX300 got totaled and even though the Santa Fe isn't a luxury vehicle (and mine has been owned 3x), I don't really feel like I downgraded hardly at all, except maybe in interior and steering weight. I love my car! Way more room and three rows of seats. Whoa. Blows my mind. It's also cute like a whale or something. I would kiss it till the day I die. Enjoy it!!!

I love my Hyundai. It has been my favorite car so far. ( of the 8 vehicles ) It has a nice ride. Not the gas mileage it said on the sticker but ok. There is room for guess to be comfortable in the front and back seats.

Dependable Performance

Overall the 2008 Hyudaai Sante Fe is a dependable, solid performer. The engine is more than reliable with above average power with no major issues to speak of. The AWD feature is much appreciated in the cold Winters & lake effect snow belts of West Michigan. Yes, the O2 sensor went bad & some wheel bearings had to be replaced but still very satisfied with this vehicle.

2008 Hyundai Santa FE

This has been a good car for my wife. Warranty has been great and Lehigh Valley honors it without any hassles. My only complaint is that the drivers seat does not go back far enough for me to drive comfortably. I'm about 5'-10" and weigh about 230 lbs. We test drove a 2016 and this was the first thing I checked. It has been corrected on the new model. Hasn't been a problem though since it's my wifes car. We would buy another Hyundai. Lehigh Valley Hyundai has treated us right.

Reliable, but weak paint and trim

I bought my Santa Fe new at the end of 2008. It has all the bells and whistles that were offered at the time. After a few sensor issues and a rear-end squeak recall, I had no problems until the fuel sending unit had to be replaced recently. Very spacious and user-friendly, however, the front seat is cracking, the paint is chipping and the interior armrests are wearing a bit thin. Overall, I am happy with my car, but not enough to buy it again.

Great SUV, I Love It.

This is my 2nd Santa Fe and just love my car. I never have any trouble with it and it holds up very well. I especially love the blue interior lighting, it's one of the main reasons I bought the car to begin with. I only gave it four stars because the leg room isn't all that much. I'm only 5'4 and my seat is as far back as it can go and I still reach the pedals, it's just if my airbags go off I'm too close to the steering wheel. But, there is nothing I can do about it. I still enjoy driving my car and l mentioned, this is my second Santa Fe and it's 8 years old and driving like a charm.
