Good SUV

Just the right size for me. Decent ride. A little noisy. Good gas mileage. Lots of room all around. Plenty of storage space beneath the back floor. Can haul 8 foot 2x4s resting on the center console. Can haul 6 foot items with seats folded down. Good utility vehicle

Nice vehicle at a reasonable price

The Santa Fe is a nice vehicle with, while not all the bells and whistles, most of the things I look for in an SUV. The price point on it is very good making it a very good buy for the money. It has been very reliable needing only routine maintenance.

Excellent Suv

Every now and then Electronic equipment failure. Not solid electronic integration system.. Sometimes unknowingly windows will open itself. Cruse control system sometimes work and often does not hold cruse when push button . Every now and then some disturburance in electronic system. This started to happen when paid upgrade electronic main computer hook up new electron error reader .

Couldn't beat it

We priced and drove a lot of SUVs and for the quality, options, and price... no other manufacturer could compete at that time. Is it perfect? No. We have the limited and the biggest complaints are the passenger seat should have been powered, the ride is a bit rough, and the curtain headlights on dim on hills are not safe enough. Also so much more safety equipment has come out plus a powered rear lift gate would be handy. The mileage, handling, interior and exterior styling, and turning radius are top notch.

2012 Sante Fe

We purchased our Sante Fe new because I was commuting over 100 miles a day. I loved most things about it, and like that the engineers would sent out evaluations over the first few years. It is comfortable and easy to drive. You can't beat the warranty. I have 102,000 and had warranty work done with no cost. The only thing I would change is the navigation system. At time of purchase it was not accurate and to update is expensive, particularly given you can get mapped directions with a smart phone. I have recommended this vehicle 3 times and 1 family bought the Sante Fe and 2 families purchased the Tuscan.

I have enjoyed this vehicle. It performs well for me. I have made several long trips and it travels well. I get about 21 mpg on the highway. I had hoped for more since I have a smaller 4 cycle engine.

Great ride

I've had this Hyundai for about 2 years now and I've loved it. It's a great car that gets decent gas mileage for a 2012, has plenty of room for daily driving and if I need to I can fold the seats down and use it to haul bigger stuff. The navy system is a little older of course but it still works fine and the bluetooth connect is incredibly convenient.

LOVE it

I would have given this car an excellent rating over all but for the blind spots on each vehicle side I would recommend placing a small magnifying mirror inset on the existing mirrors to help correct the issue.

My 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe

I love my Hyundai Santa Fe!! I have over 114,000 miles on it and have not needed anything major done to it. I hope to keep it until the end of the year and perhaps purchase another Hyundai! The only real issue is the headlights. They seem to be hooded by the hood of the car. What I mean is that it seems that they do not shine as high off the road as they should.

Fake Leather.

I bought the Santa Fe for my wife. She has really enjoyed it. It runs very well. We have not had any real issues with the car. regular maintenance stuff. Oil changes and just had the front breaks done at 65,000 miles. The only issues we have encountered is the fake leather seats. They have started to crack and peel. Don't say leather if they are not leather......

Generally happy

Generally I’ve been happy with my 2012 Hyundai Sante Fe. It has been pretty dependable with few problems. My wife and I wish we had bought one that had automatic raising and lowering of the back door as it is quite heavy especially to close. We also had to go to an after-market business to get running boards installed because they neither came on the car nor did Hyundai have them to install. With these exceptions I might consider Hyundai again. Hi

The seats are terrible.

The seats are terrible. My first Hyundai was a 2003 had it for 9 years. The seats were still comfortable after 9 years. Bought a 2012 Santa Fe, and within 3 years the seats are so lumpy it feels like your sitting on a towel that is all balled up beneath you.

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a lot of vehicle for a relatively low cost.

This SUV is a great vehicle overall. Not only does it get you there safely but it does so comfortably too. It may not have all the bells and whistles in it that a fancier SUV has but it has everything you need including Bluetooth. It has better MPG than the bigger, fancier SUV's too. The overall size is just right. Not too big and not too small. I have no problems fitting most large, long items inside. I recommend this vehicle to all SUV lovers who are looking for a medium sized SUV.

Pros & Cons

Our 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe is an economical car. It is a comfortable ride with good fuel economy. Wish it had daytime running lights. Backing up is more difficult with this model due to the partial vision obstruction caused by the rear seat headrests. Overall a good vehicle.

2012 Santa Fe

Love my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe because it is a V-6 and 5 passenger, has a lot of storage under back panels. Nice pick up and go for passing on highways. Holds all of my camping gear and can sleep in back when you put the rear seats down with a Queen size air matrass.

2012 Santa Fe SE

I love my vehicle and would like to upgrade in the near future. This SUV is reliable and very comfortable. I did not have a lot of money to spend and the comforts are perfectly wonderful for my budget. I am sure that I would by a new Santa Fe when the time comes.

Overall a good vehicle. Other than some minor issues we have enjoyed owning this vehicle. It drives nice, It has been reliable as we have not had a major mechanical issue with it. It is a perfect size for my wife to drive.

Really like

I think Hyundais are excellent vehicles. I have traveled many miles around our great country in all kinds of weather, on dirt, gravel, and asphalt and have not once had any trouble on the road. I love my Hyundai!!!

Love the ride

My only recommendation is the cargo space between the seats should be large enough to fit a woman’s handbag. It is also not positioned very well for a five foot person. I also worry about the nearness of the steering wheel in relation to the air bag going off. Cars aren’t designed for short people.

We have a hard time getting in it

We are old and have a hard time getting in and out of it the car is too high off the ground for us. I was forced too grab it at the time because my old car blew up and I had to have a car right away and now I am stuck with it!---:
