Purchased vehicle as a replacement for a vehicle totaled in an accident. Attracted to the brand on the strength of a friend who owned the Sante Fe. Very happy with the vehicle in all respects. Would prefer the driver side rear view mirror be downsized or re-positioned as it obstructs view of curbs when turning left; especially problematic at night at unlit intersections. Overall, very happy with the vehicle and the teams who make it go!

Good Vehicle for Us

The Santa Fe is a good fit for us. We were looking for a little larger SUV with a V6 engine because we make frequent road trips to northern Utah from the Seattle area with a pretty full vehicle load. The high freeway speeds (80 mph) were a bit much for our prior 4 cylinder vehicle. We were also looking for more comfort and quiet. The Santa Fe helped with both. In terms of value, I would rank it higher than most if not all its competitors. Now for the critiques. I would like to see the following changes: 1) Replace the navigation system that is easier to use. The one in our 2015 sucks at search and the obscenely priced updates are not worth it. We use our phone instead. 2) Noise levels are good, but I would like to see them improved. 3) Consider changing the passenger seat adjustment to include the vertical component available to the driver. 4) Continue to add safety features such as adaptive cruise control with collision avoidance. 5) And, lastly, I would like to see cargo area mat options made available along the lines of what come in an Escalade. I realize that these are likely not something that could be included as part of the vehicle package as it would raise the price, but it could be a high profit option for Hyundai. The Santa Fe has been criticized for visibility around the left front post/mirror. It probably could stand some improvement, but raising the driver's seat really helps.

Hyundai Customer Satisfaction

I am enjoying my 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe. I am a senior citizen (70 yrs. old), and my favorite feature about my vehicle is the fact that it is relatively low technology. A person can buy higher technology, if they wish. But , a lot of senior drivers don't want all the "loaded" vehicles, because they end up paying for technology that they may never use. Seniors want "simple cars" that they can comfortably drive without constantly referring to the owners manual. I recently communicated with my insurance agency, and they informed me that the higher tech your car has, the higher the insurance premiums will be. It costs money to have all that technology replaced. I'm very satisfied with my 2015. It provides a smooth ride, and the technology is basically easy to comprehend. My only concern is with the inadequate visibility when I am making lane changes, or backing up. I have to be very careful. Back up camera? No, that is more technology and higher insurance rates. I recently, took a 2500 mile round trip. The Santa Fe was good, but, I had problems, only because I was driving alone. I would recommend the Santa Fe (low tech) to all my senior friends.

Best Car Ever

This Santa Fe has it all: full roof is a retractable sun roof, 3 rows of seats for ample passenger room or when folded down provides great cargo space,user friendly controls, clear back-up camera picture, great GPS, excellent power with 6 speed transmission, impressive 27 mpg on the highway, Blue Link, Satellite radio, CD player, heated and air conditioned front seats, heated 2nd row seats, hands-free tailgate...and so much more! This car has been 100% trouble free and it has great style.

Very good value

The vehicle looks good. We have 30K on it, with no problems. Breaks and tires still look good. We get about 30 mpg on the highway. Comfortable. Goes well in snow. Great warranty by Hyundai!

I think that this is a great car. It has all the features that i need and runs fantastic. We take it on long trips, loaded with stuff for my son and his family. The ride ii very comfortable and the gas millage is very good. . Go out and get yourself one!

2015 Santa Fe

I like the Santa Fe but liked my Veracruz better. Bluetooth lady is a pain in the butt, I feel I have to yell into it to be heard and it takes too long to go thru menu to make a call. Silly but miss my little mirror behind eyeglass holder that let me see into back of car while driving. Miss electronic steering wheel adjustment. Otherwise it's ok.
