Everything about this vehicle is brilliant except for one major irritation and one really minor one
It's roomy. It's powerful. It is really well made. It is reliable and gets good fuel economy. Compared to the Volvo XC60 this car replaced I prefer this vehicle in almost every way except one - the "siri" voice recognition (VR). This VR is by far and away THE WORST of its type I have ever had the misfortune of using. Not only does it get commands wrong constantly, but it has been implemented in an incredibly tedious fashion - here's how it goes I say "call Don Palme" and it responds with "Tammy Damman; Stan Fink; Joe Janda; Don Palme; Tim Mitchell" THEN it insists on reading out (in very bad English) every single one of those names - won't let you reach out and select "Don Palme" - oh no, it wants you to suffer through it reading out every one. Then you have to say which one you want (by line number) then it will ask you if you are sure!! A process that should take 10 seconds has now dragged out for 2 minutes or more. Other names give similar results. Other users have similar results, so it is not just my voice. In my Toyota (which gets it right >95% of the time) if you get multiple results you can just tap the one you want and it will dial - not this one. Volvo was far more accurate too. I make a lot of calls while driving and this drives me crazy enough (forget about trying to do VR navigation - that's a joke) that if they don't upgrade it I will not be buying the car at the end of the lease - or any other Hyundai that has this horrible VR system. The minor irritation? If you use the remote start, it sounds like a kiddy cart puttering outside - very wimpy. Happily when you're in the vehicle you can't hear it so it doesn't realty matter.
