Great vehicle misrepresented

Awesome vehicle, but feel misrepresentation occurred. Santa Fe has a back up camera. Great! But when someone walks by while backing up (like at the grocery or at the mall) there is no sound alert to let you know to stop. This was standard in my 2011 model Santa Fe. Why would this feature not be standard in 2017? If this changed, than the dealership should have notified me and did not.

Will probably not get another Hyundai

This is my second Hyundai, not as happy with it as was with my first one. Door swings out too far. Still trying to understand why the vehicle speeds up sometimes. Don't always feel that I have full control over the vehicle. ???? Still trying to figure it out.

2017 Santa Fe

Overall very happy. Its a great car. for the price I don't think you will get better, but they do need to improve some features. Phone/sound system needs major improvement. The plastic interior is a big dust collector and scratches very easily.

Pretty good except for little aggrevations.

Worst navigation system ever made. Can't find diddly and doesn't suggest possibilities. My street address isn't listed although the place was built 10 years ago. Second worst design "flaw". Can't adjust the radio volume until after clearing navigation screen disclaimer, (which has to be approved every single start-up), and backing out of parking place. Air conditioner marginal for American southwest. Roars full blast any day over a hundred degrees and barely cools front seat passengers. Second row seats stay hot.

2017 Hyundai Santa Fe

We love the comfort of the new vehicle. The ride is smooth. Our only concern is the same as our last Hyundai Santa Fe - The electrical system. We continue to received Battery Discharge warnings an indication that the battery is not charging when the vehicle is running. Their service department is unable to detact any issues with the electrical system so rider too long of a distance and stopping for any reason is high risk as there is no guarantee the vehicle will start again. I was on a trip in NJ and had to have the car twice jump to start it up.

2017 Santa fe

Nice car, could be better, had to recall so far, nothing major, what I did not like when you drive it in the highway it will be noisy inside more than other cars, when I spoke with the dealer he said nothing can be done. Also had issue with the rear bumper was making sound when speed up, when they check it they said looks like something hit it from below, told them notice it since I got the car just got worse, they said that is not covered by the warranty, they offer me to fix it with a glue free of charge.

2017 Santa Fe SE Ultimate

Nice looking but just average car for me. It looks good but has a few flaws that i wish We would have seen before buying. The ride a little rough the material seems to not be the best compared to similar car options.

Great vehicle but....

Great looking vehicle. Only thing wrong with it is that the steering is sticky. When dirving in a straight line and needing to make a slight correction it feels like its locked for a second. It's not consistent when happening either. It really plays with the mind and make the driver panic for a second. Going over bumps the rear end will kick up as well. Other than those two items it's a great vehicle with lots of space.

Santa fe

When I drive the exhaust from other vehicles seems to be getting in my vehicle. There is too much outside road sounds I can hear in the suv. No one can explain to me about the shift in D. There is some type of play in it. And the owners manual doesn’t make it clear

Car does not have enough power when driving up-hill the engine work much harder to climb in mountain areas Should include more features for tge price Could have been nice to have a V6 with over 275 hp

Mixed feelings on Santa Fe

Bought this vehicle nearly a year ago so I've driven it through 4 seasons of MN weather. Overall, it handles well, gets fair gas mileage and can carry good sized payloads. Tows my boat well. However, ride is bumpier than expected, wind noise is irritating and the rattles and shakes have begun. Biggest complaint was with transmission, but techs seem to have addressed the problem. Sticky steering issue is ongoing.

its has its kinks

Paid a lot of Money for car and find out the transmission needed tweaking, hood latch recall and auto steering feelings funny some times like "grab let go grab let let go" not all the time but enough to grab your attention. Of course Mechanics don't notice it because they don't drive the car everyday nor probably have an idea to fix it sense its in the engineering of the car.
