New 2019 Santa Fe

After driving my 2008 Santa Fe for 10 years. I did not have a lick of problems with it and love it . So when I went to buy a new car. It was the first thing I went for , and got me a new 2018 Santa Fe. Unfortunately I did have a few issues with the new car, and also wished I would of stayed with a v6 . Because it surely makes a difference after getting the new car with a v4. I wish I would of waited a little longer then I did to get a new car. If I would of knew the performance difference. Not sure why the vechicle industry only makes v6 every 4 years or so.

QUALITY AND OVERALL MATERIAL WORKMANSHIP

STYLING - TO MUCH GRILL IN FRONT LEAVING LITTLE SPACE FOR SNOW TO GO UNDERNEATH IN HIGH SNOW. REAR VIEW WINDOWS AND SIDE REAR VIEW TO SMALL TO ADEQUATELY SEE. L WEATHER SEATS TO HARD. INTERIOR MATERIALS SCOFF TO EASILY. INSUFFICIENT INSULATION TO KEEP OUT WIND NOISE AT HIGH SPEED AND AVOID RATTLING BEHIND DASH BOARD. GAS MILEAGE COULD BE BETTER. ENGINE NEEDS MORE INSULATION FOR QUIETER RIDE WHEN ACCELERATING AND CRUISING. MORE LIGHTING IN REAR WHEN PASSENGER DOORS OPEN.

Not sure what you want in this box

Comfort is lacking and material is scratchy. air condition has quit blowing cold air twice. Overall gets me from point a to point b with good gas mileage with a great warranty. For the money, it is a good car. Too small for my needs as the back seat is very small.

Bad electronics

Bluetooth connection is terrible and the navigation screen doesn’t always come on. Dealership has been told several times and they are no help finding the problem. I will not be purchasing another Hyundai

Needs more power

Good vehicle but do a complete test drive on more than a freeway. The 4 cylinder under performs and sometimes shutters back and forth. Try a 6 cylinder for more power. It should really make a HUGE difference

Poor design of key alarm

Car alarm activates at least twice a week. The feature should be recessed on the key. Slightest pressure sets it off. Email follows immediately that alarm has sounded. Vehicle Handles nicely. Good gas mileage

Issues already

I’ve had the touch screen completely go out and the paint start coming off the inside of the door plastic as well as the exhaust tip is rusted already, all within approx 25k miles. I luckily got this suv at a steep discount as it was a retired courtesy vehicle, I would never recommend at the full 30kish msrp these come in at

Santa Fe AWD 2.0 Sport

Overall, not a bad purchase. However poor customer service follow up makes one rethink any future purchases. Dealership went out of business without any notice to customers. No notice or rescheduling of service appointments.

We won't do it again

We traded in a 2010 Santa Fe for a new 2018 Santa Fe that was on the showroom floor. Big mistake. Thinking it was like our old Santa Fe, we never thought about test driving it as we has test driven many others at the dealership. With this one, interstate driving is aggravating. You have a difficult time carrying on a conversation because of the noise from the front tires. It is difficult hearing the radio at 70mph unless you really turn up the volume. It is so irritating, we will probably trade it in before the year is out as we are retire and want to travel more, but not in this vehicle. Don't get me wrong, it is a very comfortable vehicle, but the noise from the front end is unrelenting.

Hyundia 2018

Visibility and road noise are very important to me and this vehicle falls short on both. The driver side mirror blocks visibility on left turns. Road noise is extremely loud and dealer said it was tires. Two tires were replaced and problem remained. I drove a couple of other vehicles at dealer ship and the noise was not there. Rear tires had cupping and uneven wear. Dealer did not check alignments

Victim of Oxygen Sensor/engine issue.

Up until the engine stalled in February of 2019 on the interstate while driving at cruising speed this vehicle was great. And then after 3 plus months of the vehicle sitting at the dealership waiting on Hyundai to decide how to fix it, the engine was replaced. Now it is running and handling well with no other concerns. Unfortunately, the engine will more than likely keep me from purchasing another Hyundai.

Unlucky

I think I’m unlucky. I purchased this car will very little miles on it and this car is starting show transmission problem or something. But everything else is nice and perform as they’re suppose to. Lots of space in car and it can definitely handle snow. Overall, transmission is not good.

Great car with a greqat look

Its only been a month but I love the car. Economy is fantastic for this size car and it rides like a bigger car. One comment on appearance, the sport needs a dual exhaust in back.

A lot to like

Looked for vehicle that incorporated some of the luxury features of my Buick Lacrosse and the utility of my Ford Expedition. Didn't have any previous experience with Hyundai and frankly had low expectations. Ended up trading in my Lacrosse for the 2018 Sante Fe Turbo Sport Ultimate and I live it.
