2018 Santa Fe
I’ve been driving a Hyundai vehicle since 2008. Previously Sonatas, now leasing my first Santa Fe. I absolutely LOVE driving an SUV. It’s nice and big, but not too big. It’s a seven passenger. It’s so easy to put the back seats up and down.
I also love the radio; I can preset 10 channels of XM radio and it records the channel so I can restart the song, or go to the previous song(s) on my favorite channels, even when I wasn’t listening to that station! (Other brand new cars I’ve driven do NOT have that feature.)
I have two kids, 4 & 5, and the black leather seats & black carpet interior makes it easy to clean and keep clean.
The back up camera is a clear picture. I love the blind spot assist, especially in parking lots because it senses pedestrians walking.
My FAVORITE feature is the fact that the car doors completely cover the bottom of the doorway so my pants don’t get mud or salt on them when I get out.
If I don’t get another Sante Fe when my lease is up, it’s probably because I upgraded to the new Palisade!
I rated 9/10 for reliability because I had to get my car serviced after about 10 months because the battery connection became loose. Freak occurrence, but it was still annoying.
I rated 9/10 for interior design because I’m NOT a fan of wood paneling inside cars. There was no option to get one without (in stock). The salesman said he had never received a request to not have wood paneling, I think he was implying that most people like it. It’s fine, I’ve gotten used it it.
