Santa Fe - nice, but lacking
I replaced a Ford Flex with the 2025 Santa Fe. So far, it's a decent vehicle, but I miss my Flex.
1) The manual is really poorly written, and the electronic version is really poorly formatted.
2) The gas mileage isn't what I was expecting. Apparently, peak performance is in a very narrow range at 55 mph with no A/C running.
3) The gas gauge is nearly useless. The miles to empty calculation is better, but still a dynamic guessing game.
4) The trip meters aren't very practical.
5) The alerts will drive you nuts, and sometimes contribute to distracted driving.
6) The haptic alerts are a little too sensitive. If you don't try to manage them, they will literally try to yank your car back into a lane with the slightest deviation from center.
7) My local service techs don't seem to know a lot about how the dashboard display works...they hunt and peck as much as I do.
8) Rear visibility is pretty poor. The cameras are a must in this vehicle.
9) Read storage is only fair, and there aren't enough tie-downs or anchors to carry much without risk of things flopping around.
